What are you looking forward to the most/or have had happened in the 2nd Trimester? Lots of baby movements...still waiting to get DH to catch the movement for himself...we have ourselves a little drama queen! LOL! Looking forward to getting the renos on the room finished so I can start organizing it a bit more.

What book or books are you reading now (Pregnancy or non-pregnancy related)? PG-The Pregnancy Bible, The Expectant Father (intermittently or as needed), The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, and Your Best Birth (almost done with Your Best Birth, two thumbs up). Non PG-Barrel Fever by David Sedaris, True Detectives by Jonathan Kellerman, and World Without End by Ken Follett. Yes...I'm totally insane, lol

How far along are you? 23 weeks. Thankfully. I am not a fan of being pregnant!

What are you looking forward to the most/or have had happened in the 2nd Trimester? The best was the big u/s and finding out the gender. I am looking forward to our first appt w/our new MW.

What book or books are you reading now (Pregnancy or non-pregnancy related)? I'm reading World Made by Hand and it is depressing. The author believes this future dystopia is possible but luckily I don't. I also just finished eat, pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Jen - I could have written that for you :) DH is the same way, we only have one gaming system, but we have an entire server room with computers and backups and all that fun stuff. I am on the laptop on the couch watching TV as we speak...Our puppy is going to be excited because we are going to do a lot more outdoor stuff and walks.

DH and I are going to have to get used to not watching so much TV. One thing we have already started to change is that for the past few years we have been going out with our friends every Tuesday Night. Most of our close friends don't go anymore and we started this Thursday Night Dinner group. It's all our close "Healthy" friends. Some of our other friends aren't the greatest to be around and we don't feel like we are healthy around them.

Lots of changing, but I am feeling good about this next stage in my life.

Hey Ladies, I hope your weekend went well. DH and I did more than I thought we were going to. But it turned out to be an awesome weekend. I got to see my little munchkin (Who is almost 9 months old now - Where did time go?) and move a friend into my house.

I had a weird moment with this friend of mine. She and I have been friends now for about 5 years. We met through another friend that DH is friends with...DH went to high school with her (she was mean to him, but until a year ago I didn't realize how mean she was). Well a long story short, we have grown apart (As I don't think she is a healthy person for DH & I to be around) but since we are friends with other people that are friends with her we still see her. She was in Cambodia for a month - when I made the announcement on Facebook that I was preggo. Either she doesn't see my status' and hadn't heard that I was pregnant, or didn't care. Well I am showing so it's obvious and my other friends that were there were making comments and she heard. I didn't get one congratulations, or even acknowledgment that we were having a baby. I thought even though we aren't close I would still say congratulations! I mean seriously. I don't know why I let her bug me so much but I do...

Anyway thanks for listening. We are getting a TON of snow today and tomorrow -I am ready for winter to be over with and spring to be here!

Name & SO's name (Age if you want): Jennifer & Geoffrey. I am 35 years old and Geoff is 30 years. I work in Education Administration and Geoff is graduating with his MFA in May and plans to teach college in the Fall. Hoping he can find a teaching job in the Fall with California economy so bad right now.

How far along are you? We are 20 weeks right now. Half-way through the pregnancy! Yay!!

What are you looking forward to the most/or have had happened in the 2nd Trimester? Finding out we are expecting a little girl and all the genetic tests turned out great! Her name will be Kathleen Louise. My doctor told me the scary stuff is over now we just watch her grow. Looking forward to registering for my baby girl and picking out all the fun stuff for the baby shower.

What book or books are you reading now (Pregnancy or non-pregnancy related)? I am reading some general pregnancy books and love the Baby Bargains book it is awesome!

Add any other questions?
We are going to get the convertible car seats for our cars instead of the infant car seat since I have a feeling this little girl will grow out of her infant car seat by time she is six months old so to save money down the road we are getting the convertible car seat right now. I have been looking and convertible car seats are good for infants and children up to 65 pounds. Can anyone give me any suggestions on which convertible car seats they are liking? I also wanted to ask for suggestions about strollers. I am torn between the Graco Metrolite Stroller and the Jeep Liberty Limited Stroller.

I can't tell you much about the convertible carseats and as for the stroller we are going with the Chicco travel system, so I am not sure that will help you at all.

I know that I started a stroller thread and I think Christine might have also. so maybe you can look for those and see what people recommended. Good luck! there are way too many choices.
