3rd Trimester Chat - March

Hi ladies!

I will check back to post some fun questions later, but for now I'm just wondering...

...did anyone else have a recurrence of nausea in the third trimester? I was having a good run from about week 24 up to recently, since I started taking Zantac regularly. But for the past week or so, I've been feeling nausous fairly often again, especially after meals.

If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it! TIA

I have been feeling nausea after meals but I think it is bc I can't eat as much as before. I find I want to throw up to relieve the pressure. It is especially worse if I sit/lie down after dinner. I've started eating smaller meals with more frequent snacks and that seems to be helping.

Are you getting completely exhausted after physical exertion of any kind? I seem to be getting VERY tired after doing anything these days.

Yup, I started getting nauseous again around 32 weeks. I was on Zofran for m/s from 9 weeks until 17 weeks, so I started taking it again (although I'm taking a lower dose, and only when I feel like I need it). My midwife explained that it's common to experience in the 3rd tri bc the baby is pressing against the stomach, and also, the relaxin relaxes your stomach muscles, so you get more reflux. I also have acid reflux when I'm not pregnant, so I take a prescription for that, too, and I really think that helps.

As for the exhaustion - OMG! I can barely walk across a room without needing a nap!

Well as you remember, I didnt have much for nausea or MS but everything unpleasant out the other end...and yes its returned with a vengeance. Pretty sure its baby pushing on it all anyway so not able to get much relief.

Also have good energy all day but very wiped out at the end of the day....I thought it was my job for a bit there but addicts or not...clients showing up or not...I'm just whipped. It doesnt take much and I'm out of it for sure. Its getting more uncomfortable to sleep at night too but still getting some decent nights of hard sleep. When I do wake, I fall back to asleep quickly though.

I have definitely had more nausea in the last few weeks. I'm wondering if it's just because my stomach is so squished at this point. I've also had a lot of heartburn, which I never really had with the girls or any other time for that matter. I have definitely hit the 3T exhaustion point too, I'm so tired and just want to sit around. I've been having some aches and pains/cramping down low and more BH contrax that are definitely stronger and more uncomfortable lately too.
