This is probably just going to be a big whine session for me, but if anyone has any suggestions for relieving these discomforts, that would be awesome:).
So far in the pregnancy, my discomforts have been in the area of nausea, acid reflux, and vomitting, and I'm used to managing that yucky business. I have to say that I've been quite lucky (knock on wood) not to have a lot of discomfort in my back and hips...which I attribute to regular chiro, massage, and yoga.
But for the last several days I just feel so uncomfortable. For one thing, I guess my colostrum has come in, because my nipples are so sensitive, they're irritated just touching the fabric of my bra. On the suggestion of my doula, I put some lansinoh on them today and I'm wearing breast pads (the kind you wear when you're breastfeeding.) That does seem to help. But, really, am I going to be wearing breast pads everyday already...weeks before this babe is even due?
I can also tell that my LO's head is nicely jammed into my pelvis. I mean I'm thrilled he's head down, but crickey, I have a lot of pain in my pelvis!
Finally, and this is a complete whine, because I'm sure there's nothing I can do about it other than try to sleep more...but I'm so tired these days! I had been enjoying better energy levels in the second half of the pregnancy and now I'm so sleepy again, having a hard time getting through work days. It's frustrating because there are so many little things I want to get done around the house and so many errands I want to run, all to get ready for the baby. None of it's really important (ie nothing that *has to* be done before the baby comes) but it's stuff I want to do, and it's frustrating when all I seem to want to do on evenings and weekends is sleep.
I hope this little guy will stay put until at least his due date so I'll have a few days between finishing work and his arrival!
Would anyone like to commisterate?:)
