Em- Wow 33 hours. I can't even imagine. I think I was in labor for about 6.

Sandy - I was induced too, because DS was getting "too big".

Ladies try not to get too worried about size based on ultrasound. As the baby gets bigger it is increasingly hard for them to accurately measure the baby and often they are close to a pound or more off in either direction especially near the end. Now clearly in Ruthie's case if they are worried about the baby getting everything it needs that is one thing but if they are trying to push you into induction because of a suspected "big baby" I would definitely not agree. Oftentimes the induction fails and a c-sec is needed, and the baby isn't even very big.

I second what Ash said. Both times they guessed the size of my boys and both times they were smaller by a good pound when born. Women have been birthing big babies for centuries, you can do it; if that's the case.
