So I thought it would be a fun idea to have a thread where we could post items that we recently purchased for the baby that we love.

I'll start:) Technically this is more for me then the baby but still, I ordered a diaper bag today and I can't wait to use it!

I ordered the skip hop studio tote in champagne
http://www.skiphop.com/product/21500.html

I love that it just looks like a really cute bag, and the fact that it has gotten amazing reviews! Plus the color is one of my favs and matched the pram:)

Ash-

That bag is super cute. I have told myself that I would not buy anything until we find out the sex (November 2nd)

I feel the same way except many things have nothing to do with gender. Baby swing, diaper bag, slings, etc are all more my taste then anything else:)

I just got my first batch of cloth diapers, and am so excited about that! I know, I'm a dork :) And my parents bought us our crib, changing table, and dresser last week - it was very sweet, because my mom got her inheritance from my grandmother, and decided to spend a little on a "gift from Grandma".

Thanks, Katie (hubbswifey) for my beautiful siggies!

I bought a stroller!!! It's the Quinny Buzz in "strawberry"...otherwise known as red ;)

I'll buy the car seat and matching bassinet separately over the next few months :)

I LOVE that set! We will be doing something similar as well- getting the set but then hanging the blanket up, using the bumpers as deco on shelves, etc.

I would have just gotten a sheet but I haven't seen any cute sets here so I would rather stick to a set and then go from there.

Heather - That looks like a great stroller set:). Would you mind telling me some of the things you took into account when shopping for a stroller and why you decided on this one? I'd like to get shopping for ours soon, so any insight would be appreciated:).

Carly - That's an adorable bedding set! I plan to do the same thing as you - decorate the nursury around a bedding set that I love (even though some items like the quilt and bumper pads will never see their "intended" use.)

Cassie: I love love the idea of a pram, but really wanted something convertible too. So this stroller faces backwards (so you're looking at the baby) or front ways, has the bassinet, as well as a snap in car seat. Two of my friends have the Quinny strollers (a Zapp and a Buzz) and both of them are satisfied. It has all the perks of a higher-end Bugaboo Frog or Peg Perego Skate, but for a lot less money. I actually think I will like this better since the car seat can snap in. That way, if the baby is sleeping, I'll just use the car seat instead of the bassinet.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the review, Heather! We are looking for many of the same features (rearfaching; snap in seat, etc.) I actually took a look at a Quinny a couple days ago at Sears, and another thing I liked about it was the wheels. They are larger than the wheels I've seen on other strollers, which makes me think they would be better equipped to handle the winter months around here:).
