Katie! I am have been MIA around here, and I just checked in and see that you are expecting...YAY!!! So happy for you:).

I also had a pretty rough time with nausea throughout my pregnancy, and especially the first trimester. It seems that you just have to find the thing that works for you. For me, I often found that a glass of milk would settle my stomach if I started to feel a bit off, and seemed to ward off puking. When I was still having a lot of nausea and vomiting in my second trimester, I had Zantac suggested to me by my midwife, and it ended up being a small miracle. It seems that my nausea was being caused by acid reflux, so controlling the acid helped to keep the nausea in check. Finally, for what it's worth, it always seemed to help me to have a hot tea to sip on at work.

Good luck figuring out what works for you! And, again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Well PB&J was definitely on the list, and I remember nibbling on lots of cheese. I also think hardboiled eggs helped too (even though nausea and eggs seem to be the last things to ever go together - lol!) I can't really remember what else now though! I'll post if I think of anything else!

Thanks Kelly! I announced it in the pg thread. ;-) What type of protein snack were you eating? SO far the only things that seem to help is honeycomb cereal, peanut butter and jelly sandwich's, roast beef and cheese from Arbys and banana's! LOL Most everything else I feel like throwing up after!

Kaaaatiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! You're pregnant???????? Squeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! I'm just a wee bit excited for you! LOL!!! Congrats!!!!!!!! Did you have a separate post where you announced it? I missed it if you did!

No specific advice on the flying and queasiness, but I can tell you that from my own experience, queasiness is going to come whether you try to stop it or not. LOL. I did find that not eating definitely made it worse though, and one of my friends IRL who is pg right now is finding the same thing. Maybe just bring lots of snacks to munch on and try to keep hydrated. FTR, I personally found that higher protein snacks actually helped the most - it's like my body actually wanted real sustenance rather than just plain old munchies. My first real intense craving was for a mushroom-swiss burger. LOL.

I'm taking prenatals and ok with vitamins, just not meds like Unisom, and so forth. :-) Bought preggo pops today so will see if they help!
