I have been having killer cramps for a few days now.... the type that make you think AF showed up and I keep expecting to see something when I go to the bathroom.

My OB says that cramping is the same thing as contractions. Sometimes constant cramps can mean that you're having contractions one on top of the other. When is your next OB appt? Are you at every week? Sounds like you could be gearing up for the big show! Good luck! Just FYI, my twins were born at 34 weeks 5 days and came home after 9 days in special care. Being 36.5 weeks is probably just fine seeing as how 37 weeks is considered "full term".

Well Kate... It sure sounds like this could be it!!! Fede was born at 37 weeks, so 36 and a day doesn't sound so crazy to me... I would go to the OB and get checked, who knows, there may be a great update to this thread!! By the way, I can't believe you are 36 weeks!! It seems like yesterday that you got pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

It's definitely possible! I never felt Braxton Hicks contractions with Evan, but when I was induced, the real ones felt just like AF cramps. 36.5 weeks is so close to full term-maybe your baby is ready a little early. It's awesome that your baby finally decided to turn, especially if this is IT!

Sounds like you're definitely close! And FYI, I was a 36.5weeker, and I was just fine! 8 pounds, 22 inches. If Chuck is ready, (s)he's ready! :)sig by ChrissySig by Chrissy at SMFB! Lilypie First Birthday tickersby chrissy bottlemommy greenby chrissy water

Thanks ladies. I ended up going into the office today, it was a tough call. Work is an hour from home and 45 minutes from the hospital (hospital is also 45 minutes from home). But I was able to have a good chat with my boss about where I am at, and working from home more until the baby comes.

Ray was a 38 weeker, so I sort of expect this baby to come early, but I would love to make it to 40 weeks.

My cramping got better about an hour or so after I got into the office and chugged a bunch of water... maybe I was dehydrated. It's picked up some since I started eating lunch (spicy Thai), but baby is also moving a ton now as well (which s/he always does this time of day).
