I know we've had a thread like this in the past, but we've had a lot of babies in the past few months so I thought we could do another survey :)

What was your EDD?

When did you actually deliver your baby?

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late?

What was your EDD? December 2, 2009

When did you actually deliver your baby? December 5, 2009

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late? I kept going to the doctor for my visits the past few weeks and I was still only 1cm. She said if I did not deliver by that Friday she was going to induce. I was induced because I have chronic high blood pressure even though I didn't have any issues through my pregnancy and she didn't want anything to happen so I was induced on the 4th and had David on the 5th.

Hi Alyssa!

What was your EDD? Feb 21, 2010 based on O, don't remember my MW using any other date via U/S, etc.

When did you actually deliver your baby? Feb 22, 2010 - 1 day "late"

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late? I had a feeling she would be born late Feb, DH thought she would be born early March. I think he just wanted to share his birthday with her - 3/3.

The day I was due, I ate eggplant for dinner (not even realizing it's on the list of 'foods to induce labor') and we DTD in the middle of the night.

Hi Alyssa! Yay for 31 weeks I am so happy for you!! My EDD was June 23rd and I thought for sure she would be late. It was our first and all the stories I heard about that first babies are always late but I found out from my Mom that I was actually an early baby and was her first child. To our very big surprise she arrived on June 16th a week earlier than expected and I did not even recognize that I was having contractions. My doctor had to tell me that I was 100% effaced and 2-3 centimeters dilated and was not going back to work. I actually did go into that work that morning thinking I was just experiencing some bad gas cramps which were actually contractions so imagine my surprise that those gas cramps were in reality contractions! I never saw my mucous plug go or any signs of labor that I thought I would have she just decided to come that day and at 10:19pm that night she came into the world. Labor for me progressed very quickly but I pushed for three hours which was due to a certain piece of skin that would not budge but once we got through that she came out very quickly afterwards. My healing period after birth went great and was not as bad as I thought. I delivered her when I was 39 weeks so my advice have everything ready as soon as you can and just have it by the door ready to go. I am so excited and happy for you!! :)

What was your EDD? According to Ovulation: May 20, 2009, According to fetal size: May 15, 2009

When did you actually deliver your baby? 5/14/09

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late? I am pretty sure I would have gone late-I had no dilation at all-EVER. I was induced on the 13th due to a list of worries my OB had (baby's size, low fluid, possible meconium in waters, ...) and my body refused to dilate so when Evan's heart rate started getting weird, I had a caesarian. If left to his own devices, I think Evan would have probably been at least a few days past my later EDD!

EDD: February 10th according to dating u/s; February 15 according to O date

Actual birthday: Feb 22nd, so he was one week late

I had a feeling he was going to be late and sort of banked on that a bit as well, as I worked up until very close to my "official" due date and I still wanted some time off to myself :-)
The menstrual period length theory doesn't work for me either as I have short (25-27days) cycles. I heard another theory that it goes in families - my mother was late with all her three children so it might be true.

My EDD was 11/6 and Eliza was born 11/14, so she was 8 days "late". I didn't get my hopes up that I would go early or even on time - I knew she'd be late ;)

What was your EDD? April 8 and March 8th or 16th depending on O date or ultrasound

When did you actually deliver your baby? April 5, March 14

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late? Neither really, Desmond was induced, but I got the feeling he wasn't quite ready to come out, wish we had waited a bit longer, but they induced because I had borderline GD and he was supposedly measuring large (he was average). I was hoping Eloise would be a bit early, because I was so done with prodromal labor by that point in time, but she came pretty close to her due date, I was hoping she didn't go too late since she was a VBAC and my practice requires a c-section after 41 weeks with a VBAC.

What was your EDD? April 23 or 24 depending on the dr :)

When did you actually deliver your baby? May 2 (I was induced on the 1st)

Did you have a feeling your baby was going to be early/late? I was actually kind of hoping he wouldn't come early so I could get paid through the end of the school year. Once I got closer to my due date it seemed pretty obvious that Barrett was in no rush - I was carrying really high until right around his due date. I think if I hadn't needed to be induced I would have gone into labor close to 42 weeks - I was finally having some signs of upcoming labor that last week :)

As for the length of your cycle theory, that really didn't work for me! My cycles have always been on the short side (25-28 days), and Barrett did not come early.
