So yeah, it is the middle of the month, but since Alyssa got a BFP and there are three of us now, I figured I would start a first trimester thread so we can chat.

Hey Adrienne!! Thanks for making this thread! Sorry for the sore boobs, but yay for no m/s yet! Have you been back to the doctor since your betas quadrupled?

AFM - I'm basically feeling so-so all the time. Not great, but not terrible either. I have bouts of queasiness, but nothing too bad (yet). I'm also really tired, and my sense of smell is super heightened...which is leading to food aversions.

I made an appointment for Thursday to get some initial blood work done. Then I'll go back early next week to get them done again, and I'll try to make an u/s appointment for 7 weeks.

Yep, I had my quadrupling betas (LOL) between 9 and 11 DPO, (Tues and Thurs)-- I figure they were rising that fast because it was SO early. And then I had another draw on Tuesday that showed normal doubling (I figured it should be 412, and the doctor said it was in the 400's, so that is good enough for me!), and then I go back again today for another draw. I fully expect this one to be good again because my HPT's have continued to get darker and darker.

And then I am scheduled Tues next week (6 weeks 2 days) for an u/s, but I think I'm going to push it off one more week. I heard that when you have a tilted uterus, you can look up to 2 weeks behind, so I want to give the bean plenty of time to grow before we start measuring and judging him/her, KWIM?

Plus I think I am going to visit my friend in Philly for almost a week, from Monday to Saturday or Sunday, so this way I can leave Monday and don't have to wait for the appt. I also think that if the u/s wasn't optimal I would NOT feel like visiting her, so everything seems to point to me waiting one more week, and it's better for DH too, because this big project he will be working on will be all done and he will be more relaxed and able to take time off (I mean, he would have been there next week, too, but it will be better in two weeks).

Yay for your betas! I'm sure they'll be really high today too :)

I think it's a good idea to wait another week for an u/s if you can stand it. You just never know if they'll be able to see anything at that point, so there's no use in having to worry about things, you know?

I'm also going to try and get an u/s at about 7 weeks. I'm not sure how my normal doctor's office will deal with things - they might just refer me back to the fertility/early PG place I went when I had my m/c. That would be fine with me though, because they obviously know a lot more than the GPs.

Boy - I'm feeling really PG already, with the queasiness, fatigue, smell aversions, etc.. Last time the symptoms didn't really appear until 6 weeks, and even then they weren't like this, so I'm hoping this is a good sign. Plus, my HPTs keep getting darker by the day, and I still have two days until when AF is due.

It's so weird how every pregnancy is different. I definitely FEEL pregnant with this one--but mostly because I am bitchy and I have pretty often pulling feelings in my abdomen, but I have definitely had stronger symptoms in terms of m/s and everything, even with my m/c and chemical pregnancies. It is so weird--every pregnancy really is different, whether it is sticky or not!

That is AWESOME that your tests keep getting darker--that was a sign, in retrospect, with my blighted ovum, the tests sort of stopped getting darker after awhile but I didn't think anything of it because I didn't know any better.

And yeah, ITA about the early u/s--I just don't want it to cause more worry than I have already--there are SOOO many people in that position on our EC right now. So I will probably call and change it to seven weeks sometime soon.

Leona--Are you out there? Hehe.

Oh, wow, I've been busy and not on the board and missed Alyssa's BFP. Congrats!!!! Good luck with your blood work and a H&H nine months!

And Adrienne, congrats again. A friend of mine irl got her BFP after 10 months of trying the same day as you. I'm excited for November and all these babies arriving!

Lorien - thanks so much!

Adrienne - it's funny how it's so different this time, and I think that's a great sign. I've noticed that I am SUPER moody too. Like, I'll just cry at the drop of a hat, or get annoyed with DH about something really stupid (like how loud he swallows! LOL!).

It's amazing how many people on the EC have had really early u/s's and now, just like you said, is making them crazy. I know they told me last time that I could come between 6-7 weeks, but I'll do 7.

I'm contemplating buying more IC's - I have two left, but I really like using them and seeing the line get darker. It makes me feel better, kwim?

"I really like using them and seeing the line get darker. It makes me feel better, kwim?"

Definitely! They are pretty cheap, it is totally worth it for the peace of mind, IMO. I take one every morning!! :-D

Ella--OMG, I didn't notice that I was due on Eliza's bday, either! How funny! I wonder if I will be late or early. I am completely prepared to be like two weeks late, just because it's the first, etc. But then again, I was two weeks early (when I was born) but my Mom also smoked when she was PG with me, so who knows how that effected it.

Maybe I'll be right on time and we'll have b-day buddies!

Lorien--That is so nice for your other friend who is PG, too! It is really funny, there are seriously like ten other ladies on my EC due Nov 14th--it is definitely the most popular due date!!

Adrienne - congrats on those great beta numbers!! Woowee!!!

I'm getting nervous for my doctors appointment tomorrow. I just hope my numbers look good, and I'm hoping they'll be more thorough with me this time (or at least not be resistant if I ask them to be).
