Heather - EDD April 19 2010- TEAM PINK!
Adrienne - Thanks for starting this!!
To all the Mama's due in April - Hope you are doing well!! I know some of you are getting close to that day.
AFM - This cold will not go away. I thought yesterday it was getting better because I didn't have the runny nose anymore, but to no avail, today it's worse...GRRRR. Okay I am done whinning.
My super best friends are so sweet, they are starting to plan my shower! I love it...I didn't think they would, but they brought it up to me. So I will probably be having a shower in June and one in July. Crazy that we are thinking of that stuff already. We got the top 1/2 of the nursery painted. I will send out more pictures on my blog when we put up the border, we might tonight or tomorrow. Then I can move the crib in place - that's all we have currently for it. Then I just have to figure out where the decals are going to go, but I will probably wait until after we get things in there.
Thanks Adrienne for setting up the thread! Happy April, and GL to the April mamas!
I had my 39 week appt today, I am 1-2 cm dilated, and cervix is very soft, doc could feel baby's head very easily. My doc will be out of town Tues.-Sat., and said I could opt to wait it out and let baby come when he wants... but it could mean that his backup doctor would be delivering the baby. He suggested scheduling an induction for Sunday night at 8 pm, so that he would come Monday morning most likely. I agreed to the induction, knowing that he could easily come on his own today, tomorrow, Saturday, or Sunday during the day (my water broke with DS at 39w3d, which would be Saturday for me this time) I am comfortable with it because I have had pitocin before, and my cervix is very favorable anyway, it's not like I'm not dilated and we're forcing things along. I am so excited! Of course it would be nice to have things get going on their own here in the next couple days, but it is so nice to have a plan in place and know that he would be born at the latest Monday.
On a side note, I was baffled to know that I'd lost 2 lbs. since last week. I'm pleased though because at 39 weeks with DS, I had gained 39 lbs. and with this pgcy I've gained 32 lbs. :D
Can't wait to hear any other updates!! Cheryl? Cara? Natalie? Heather?
Okay, now that a new thread is here, I'll try better to keep up with it and post more :)
Wowee!! We have TONS of WTTG babies coming so soon!
Adrienne - thanks for setting it up!
Jess - sorry you're still sick :( That's great about the showers though, that will be so much fun!
Julie - Wow! So your LO will be here in the next few days! How exciting!
AFM - I'm still feeling awful, a lot worse than I ever felt during my last pregnancy, which is a good sign I think. Poor DH though is having a difficult time because he hates seeing me like this, especially since he can't really do anything about it.
The poor guy had to sleep on the couch last night because I felt so bad and couldn't stand being in such close proximity to someone! LOL Did/does this happen with anyone else? I cannot stand being held/hugged or anything...it makes me feel claustrophobic or something.
Thanks to Katie, Tara, and Joelle for my wonderful siggies!
Adrienne--Thanks for getting this all set up for us!
Jess--I really hope you shake your cold soon. And how cool that your friends are planning you a shower!
Julie--I can't wait to hear all about your baby! It's hard to believe that he'll be here by Monday!
Alyssa--I'm sorry you feel so bad. I haven't had a problem with being close, but DH is a VERY noisy person at night. I've never noticed that before.
AFM--My car died on the side of the road this morning on my way to work, so it's been a pretty crappy day. I'm back home now though, and DH is at his parent's replacing my alternator. One of my coworkers treated me to a milkshake after I had a minor breakdown in the office.
Anyway, I'm vegging on the couch right now with a pizza, and I've got The Business of Being Born queued up on Netflix. I'll watch it assuming I stay awake long enough!
Alyssa--I have only had trouble with DH being close to me because my boobs are so sore--LOL.
I'm sorry you feel so horrible, hopefully you'll feel better soon. Too bad I can't feel horrible in your stead considering I'm unemployed and on bedrest and you have a job. :-P
Liz - that is so awful about your car! I would have a breakdown too! I'm glad your coworkers were so great about it, and it sounds like you have a nice relaxing evening planned.
Adrienne - I'm just so thankful that my job allows me to work from home and that my supervisor is incredibly understanding! I couldn't imagine having to force myself to go into work some days - I think I would just pass out!
Adrienne- Thanks for setting this month's thread up :)
Jessica- I am sorry that your cold won't go away. That is so awesome about your friends throwing you a shower.
Julie- Yay!! How exciting that your baby boy will be here soon. I also lost 2 pounds this past week at my apt. I was surprised, last week I lost one.
Alyssa- I felt the same way in the beginning of the pregnancy. I just didn't want to be near DH at all for some reason. It will get better though, I promise.
Liz- I am sorry to hear about your car. That sucks. That was nice of your co-worker to treat to to a milkshake.
AFM- So I guess that it is a race between Julie and myself. I am contracting pretty regularly now. They are between 3-6 minutes apart. I am now 4 cm dilated and 100% effaced, so I am making some progress. I am starting to come to realize that a drug free birth may not be in in my future. I am in quite a bit of pain now, and know that it is only going to get a lot worse. I am okay with it though. I haven't gotten more than 2 hours of sleep in the last 3 nights, so hopefully the little guy decides he is ready to come soon.
