Alyssa--I am still in shock and amazement over the whole Canadian maternity leave situation. Can you send some politicians to smack some sense into our government when you get a chance?

That is really good that your are having your "butt hole" (hahahahah, sorry I can't resist) cleaned by your doctor every day. My friend had to rely on his Dad/brothers and I'm sure sometimes they didn't do the best job, hence all the complications he dealt with.

Woohoo for your new bras! I got a couple of new ones at the beginning but I think I want to get a couple more. I normally wear these stretchy cotton "training bras" (for lack of a better word, LOL), no underwire or anything, so they have a lot of give, but I'd like to spoil myself and get some new bigger ones anyway.

Your kitchen looks amazing, I am sort of jealous of how great of a job you guys did (esp your sick, counter-tops and appliances) I love my kitchen but there are quite a few things that need to be upgraded and we'll probably do just a few things at once so we don't have to pay so much up front.

Devin--Have you ever gotten tested for Celiac's Disease? Having trouble gaining weight and IUGR are two common side effects--you might want to look into getting tested, it is a simple blood test!

Anyway I am super thrilled about our new PG ladies. I added you to the front page today--let me know after your first u/s what you are measuring for a due date and I will adjust it for you!

Leona--I am so so excited that you are at 24 weeks! I have a really strong feeling that now you will go to full term, too. I know you'll have a healthy baby by the end of this!

Good for you for getting such awesome deals on the co-sleeper and breast pump! That is awesome!

That sucks about your job. Is there a high turnover because your boss/coworkers suck, or just something generally about the job? I'm surprised in this economy that they would have trouble holding onto people!

Anyway, hopefully not too much of the extra work will fall onto you!

Jess--Where are you? Even if no one else posts I can always count on you to update us!! (Oh wait, maybe she is on vacation? Is this the week she went up to her cabin? LOL!)

AFM--This thread has been super slow lately! But I knew I had to post something because look at my ticker! It is in the 5th box!! Physical evidence that I am almost half-way through!! I was so excited when it finally switched over, LOL!

Anyway, I had this really uncomfortable day a few days ago--I don't know if the baby was in a weird spot or what but every time I moved or did anything it was super uncomfortable. But the next day it was fine again, so who knows! I'm glad it didn't last though!

We are leaving for our vacation up to Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park in Maine) on Saturday morning! I am so so so excited. My family rented a house for a week right in the town, and we're going with my parents, three sisters, and Grandma. We'll be doing lots of hiking and scenic picture taking, hehe, and we'll also treat my family to brunch at this veggie restaurant one day, and another day we go to see this "secret garden"--it is owned by the Rockefellers and not advertised--you have to make reservations to see it and the number isn't listed anywhere. We went to see it once before and it was BEAUTIFUL--can't wait to take pics. We will probably also do some walking around the town and buying some baby clothes, LOL. I am really excited.

How is everyone else doing?

Adrienne--I'm jealous that Tonio grooms himself even with a hurt tongue. My Sam doesn't groom often. It's like it just doesn't phase him. He's getting shaved next spring. I can't deal with a long hair that doesn't do anything to take care of himself. Oh, the orange hair everywhere!

I'm so excited that you're feeling movement! Isn't it just the coolest feeling ever??

Alyssa--I'm absolutely in love with your counter tops! It makes me want to redo my kitchen sooner rather than later!

I hope the new bras are working out for you. I've been pretty lucky in that I haven't had to get any new ones yet.

Devin--When will you get in for your first u/s? I'm so excited for you!!

Leona--Yay for reaching 24 weeks, and for being off of pelvic rest!! Keep taking it easy.

I hope that things don't get too crazy with work. I can't imagine how stressful it must be right now knowing that you'll be fighting fires. Yuck.

AFM--The thing with my parents escalated this weekend, and I'm not handling it well. At least I've managed to not cry today. It's so the last thing I want to worry about right now, because it's starting to affect my sleep. I'll be in bed by 9:00 tonight, so that hopefully I can catch up. It's bad.

Baby-wise, I'm doing good. Dot has developed a habit of sitting on my bladder, so I've become good friends with the bathroom. But since that's my only complaint, I'm doing good.

Oh, and my ticker tells me that I have less than 100 days until my EDD. Holy Cow!!! Where is the time going????

Adrienne - I'd never heard of Celiac's Disease, but I looked up the symptoms and I'm pretty positive I don't have it. The IUGR I think was mainly from untreated asthma during my pregnancy. I never brought up that I had it and I hadn't had insurance before my pregnancy so I hadn't been treating it. I have silent asthma that went undiagnosed until I was in middle school, and after that my small air passageways had re-constructed themselves to where at 100% they only move 50% as much air as the average person's. My large air passageways are 70%. When you listen to my lungs they sounds clear, but when I do a pulminary function test the numbers are in the "severe" range for constriction. It wasn't a problem on the surface during my pregnancy until after delivery in the hopsital when they could hear me wheezing through a stethoscope. I'm pretty sure that the silent airway constriction is what caused the IUGR; its actually one of the

Ugh about the insurance, Devin! I know you've been battling with them for awhile now. Has anyone said why it's taking so long?

Caleb's boss hasn't been able to figure out why its taking so long yet. He was e-mailing one lady with no responses so now he's going to e-mail some other lady and hopefully she can figure out what's going on ... I'm worried that they just lost the paperwork or never put it through and we'll have to start all the way back at square one and wait *another* 90 days.

IS it 90 days since filing the application, or 90 days from the beginning of employment? Either way, I would think you would be ok. Did his boss or whoever sent the application retain a copy for their records? If it's dated, that should be proof of application.

I have no idea, probably from when they get the form because it said it could take "up to 90 days" to process. We sent one form in when we filled out all of his new hire paperwork back in January, and we filled out another form in March when they said they may have lost the original form, so its not even the first form we've sent in. I figured I'd give it until the end of the week for someone to finally figure it out, and if nothing happens I'll get on medicaid until our insurance stuff gets sorted out. Its getting pretty ridiculous.

Adreienne, FWIW I slept on my back for my entire pregnancy w/ DS (and I was all belly). It was the only way I could get comforatble. I'm w/ Liz and of the mindset that if I got pins and needles in my legs I would wake up from it. (Although that never happened.)

There's something really fishy going on if you've submitted the paperwork twice. I really hope that all this gets sorted out soon.
