Happy October ladies!! I'm going to try to do personals from memory...

Ash - Thanks for setting up the thread as always! Ugh, sorry about your nightmare trip home!

Carly - I honestly have to say that although I am feeling MUCH better in the 2T (particularly right now when I don't even feel PG), I am not yet at the point where I LOVE being PG. Maybe once I start to actually feel the baby move, but I don't hate being PG either. Even though I didn't feel great in the 1T, I think I still had it pretty good as I never actually threw up, was just nauseous and exhausted.

Cara - I'm surprised your MW is pushing the flu shot because my MW is totally against it! I guess they're all different. I had to battle with my mom on the phone the other day because she

I'm interested to see what my doctor will say about the vaccinations. I definitely won't be getting a flu shot- never have and don't see any reason why I ever would, and I highly highly doubt I will get the H1N1 as I am not around kids or many other people most of the time and the fact that I am pregnant makes me less likely to want to take any vaccine, and I doubt I would have gotten it normally.

I can't believe it's OCTOBER already, ladies!!!!

Christine - it's so interesting to see that midwives/OBs are giving such different advice about the flu shot, isn't it? It really makes me wary of choosing either route with so much varying information out there, KWIM? My CNM is advising all her patients to get it, though we haven't discussed the H1N1 vaccine yet. I always get the flu shot each year, so I will get it this year, but I'm not sure of the H1N1...

Ash - wow, those renovations sound amazing! It's going to be beautiful when it's finished, I bet - will you post pics? Sorry your train ride home was so awful! Thanks for setting up our new thread.

Do we have a new member that joined us?? I saw Dee is on the front page, but I don't remember an intro... unless I missed it at the end of last month which is entirely possible! Anyway, welcome Dee and congratulations!

I'll post pics when they are done:) I think they are probably going to do our master bath in Dec, and everything else in Jan.

I added Dee because she got a BFP on the TTC thread and I'm assuming she'll mosey on over here in a bit. I always just take an EDD from the fertility friend ovulation date.

I loved your pics from the wedding

I'm loving hearing all the differing opinions on the flu shots. It's really interesting to me to hear the other points of view.

Christine - I was pretty surprised my m/w was pushing so hard for the vaccine too. I thought with her being a m/w and all she'd be against it or at least give me the pros and cons and let me take it from there.

Ash - I feel the same way about my own cooking, of course I've always kind of been that way.

AFM - Nothing much new, just looking forward to a girls night out with my playgroup friends tonight! We used to do these periodically, but now everyone is PG! One of them is due it about two weeks, two of them are due a 2-3 weeks before me and the other had a baby in Dec. We are quite a productive group! LOL. So anyway I figured this could be our last hurrah now that we are all feeling better from the 1T and before the other has her baby. Should be fun, although there won't be nearly as many cocktails as when we did it before! LOL.

Hi All- I have been so busy, but loving every minute of this pregnancy. I have 4.5 wks to go and am already at the weekly appt. I was pretty much told that if I went into labor tonight, they wouldn't do anything to stop it and that William would be ok. I am getting for excited for him- I can't wait to see what he looks like. I officially go on mat. leave Oct 30, but if he comes before his EDD then I will start mat. leave then.

Our nursery is still not finished- furniture gets delivered a wk from tomorrow so William better stay put for a little longer.

That's all from me. I keep checking you on you ladies even if I don't respond.

Hello Everyone - I'm Dee, Dh is Jase and Dylan is 20 mos old now. I just got my BFP last week and we are very excited. I'll be nervous to tell family though. My mother & MIL have both told us that we just stop at one since we have a great baby and we should be thankful with that. Hmm...should be interesting when we tell them.

Ash - thanks for adding me. You are on the ball, wow! I haven't had time to do up a ticker so I love the fact that there is one there now :)

Christine - Ash just super efficient, lol. Great memory, I am impressed.

Carly - I feel the exact same way about vaccination. I understand their validity, just not for me. I don't get sick very often so I don't want to mess with what is working! Plus, I did get juvenile arthritis at 10 yrs old and this can be caused by vaccinations...it is one of the side effects a very small amount of ppl can get...so I tend to think I could that .01% now.

Cara - that sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy yourself.

Elyse - congrats on being so close to the end. Very exciting - especially your first :)

Thanks for the fantastic welcome!
