Hi ladies! I finally got caught up through the posts. No time for personals today. Tomorrow is the big visit at work. I can't wait for this to be over. Course then my schedule is all screwy for the next week. They have decided to take 5 years worth of chanes and do them all in 18 months. So the management team is getting some flippage. I have gotten the basic information on it but have to go to the market office on Tuesday for meetings on it. I normally get Tues and Wed off however I get Monday then probably won't get another day off till Tuesday of next week.
Needless to say I have been doing A LOT of sleeping! I am also going in early tonight. I guess the bonus of this next system they are putting in is a stricter schedule for managment. As in no more coming in on your days off and no working over your set hours. See how this plays out.
Glad to see everyone is doing well and all the cute baby bumps!
Ashley - 13 weeks already! Your bump is beautiful!
Cara - Glad you're finding your way around the board. It's funny having so much room, isn't it?
ALL - As for tickers.... should we have them on the general PG thread, or have just a ticker thread that changes hands (so no one person always has to edit# every month or so?
Just wanted to pop in quick and say that I was thinking the same thing about having everyone's tickers in one spot... I liked referring to them... so I was thinking I'll start a "General Pgcy Chat - September" thread on Sept 1st and start it off with our tickers on the front page. Will that work for everyone? It might get confusing to split everyone up into the different trimesters...
Cheryl – It is very strange not having my sister here. We talk everyday and she tells me how much she misses us and wish she were still here. We miss her like crazy. My DH said it is like we sent our daughter off to college.
Sandy - Good luck with your closing! DH and I took off from work the day of our closing so we could really enjoy the day. I understand you may be saving your time off for when baby comes but just a suggestion. :-)
Cheryl - Sorry you are feeling so crummy. I can tell you that it does get better! I thought I was never going to make it through the 1T. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again (some days I even forget I'm PG if it weren't for my bulging belly!)
Noel - I love the cards you made at the party. I'm hosting a Lia Sophia (jewelry) party for my cousin in early Oct. I've been post-poning it because of school but now I can do it. And I love their jewelry! What did you end up making for snacks?
Mari - Sounds like the new OB is a keeper! Do you and Matias have any names picked out? Only one more week till the big reveal!!
Jay - That is great that your DH will be home in the evenings now. And your little girl is starting Kindergarten! Awww! Somehow I missed your party pictures - were they in a previous thread??
Ash - Cute belly pic! I went through pretty much the whole summer of wearing skirts and dresses. Now some of my skirts don't fit! Gah!
Ella - Hope you had fun at the cabin! Can't wait to see the nursery pics!
Julie - Hope you had a great first day of school! When do you plan on telling them your news?
Ashley - You look great! Love your new siggy too!
Cara - Hope you're feeling better! And I second the notion about the front page tickers!
Carly - Sorry about the landlady troubles - at least you won't have to deal with that anymore now that you're a homeowner!

Fri. night we went to my parents' for dinner and my mom suggested having my shower in November instead of January. I was a little surprised at first but after talking about it, it really is a better idea. We want to avoid the holidays and in Jan., the weather is usually bad here so this way more people would be likely to come. We had our bridal shower in Feb. and it happened to snow like crazy that day so some people couldn't make it. I am excited that it is going to be sooner than I thought and started making an invite list already. Now we're really under the gun to clean out our spare bedroom!
Oh and if anyone likes pumpkin pie, I found a recipe for slow cooker crustless pumpkin pie and it came out sooo good! I've had about 3 bowls already. :-P
