Marianna - Yea!! Sept 1rst is next week! You'll get to peek at your LO so soon! It'll be so great for your friend to be PG at the same time as you, even in different stages. Your kids will totally play together when they're older too! I'll be sending **sticky bean** vibes her way. Have fun with the garden. It's such a delight to grow things.
Jay - Still in vehicle limbo. Waiting for DH to get moving on finding us a co-signer so we can get pre-approved for the loan. I don't want to try to sell my current van until we have that ready. I don't know how you do the getting everyone off to their places & you to work so early in the morning! I guess we do what we have to. I do imagine it'll be hard later on, but you'll manage one day at a time. It really will be wonderful to have DH home to help out in the evenings too.
Christine - The jewelry party sounds really fun! For snacks I made deviled eggs, Spinach Artichoke Ranch dip (love love love this dip!# with dark rye bread & set out strawberries & mini eclairs as well as some drinks. All were big hits. I
If any of you missed my party pics it is in the old WTT board in our pg thread. It should be pretty close to the end of the posts.
Noel - that stroller seems like a great bargain! I'm actually thinking of picking one up, too... what a great price! I've been reading reviews and it seems like it's a great stroller overall. Hm... maybe I'll be making an impulse buy this afternoon! ;) Sorry to hear about DH's car, that's not what you need right now :/
Mari - September 1st will be here before you know it. Can't wait to see what team you're on!!
Sandy - I hope the move goes well. GL with everything!
I'm home from the hospital and feeling SO much better! I haven't needed to take a pain pill since yesterday morning at 9:00am, so I feel good about that. I'm on antibiotics, which I think are really helping (ha - obviously, that's their job!), so I'm thinking it definitely must have been a kidney infection not kidney stones. But whatever it was, it was SO FREAKING PAINFUL! Now it's back to real life - getting ready for the semester to start, and continuing to work on the nursery. OH, and we got a crib last night! We found it on craigslist and it's pretty much brand new (the sellers said their kids hated the crib and so they never slept in it). It came with a mattress and I love it, it's cherry (wood color), and it's a sleigh style crib. It's so pretty - but now I'm really anxious to get the nursery finished so we can set it up!
Christine- yay for the shower being so soon!! And yes, we have names picked out, and they are final I think. If it is a boy, he will be José Federico. If it is a girl, she will be Camila Mariana. We needed spanish sounding names to go witht he last name, and we picked family names and names qith some kind of meaning.
Noel- I can't believe you luck with cars!!! Your family sooo reminds me of my own family sometimes. We had dad's car who was newer and realiable, and mom´s... an old easily breakable thing.... But I assure you, every time dad´s car broke, mom´s was also broken, so we had to do all kinds of weird things to get to school and jobs!!!
Congrats on the stroller!!!!! It looks so cool!
Julie- Wow, 50 min. each way, every day??? I don't know if I could do it!
AFM- I have some cute news! DH was able to feel the baby move a couple of nights ago!!! We were laying in bed, and the baby kicked pretty hard, so I rushed and took his hands so he could feel it. Of course, then the baby stayed still, so DH grabbed my belly and shook it like a magic 8 ball (but gentler though!!!!), and sure enough, baby kicked like never before!!! We laughed so much, because we are sure it was his/her way of saying "knock it off daddy!!!!". And I guess the spell was broken, because now he can feel the wiggles all the time!!!
On another news, MIL told me that we have a family wedding in october, DH's distant cousin or something, I'm very happy, because that means I have an excuse to buy one of those cute maternity evening dresses!!!
Ella - Big congratulations on the crib. That is so wonderful. You and Noel are really cleaning up when it comes to getting expensive items at a discount. Glad you are back from the hospital. I sure hope the antibiotics work fast and you can get into the full swing of things again.
Marianna - That is so great that your DH was able to feel the baby moving. It is the best thing when you finally can prove that the baby is really moving. They always seem to stop just when you are about to let someone else feel.
