Mari - Sending *sticky bean vibes* to your friend and yay for DH feeling the baby move! Love the names you've picked out! They sound so romantic. :-)

Julie - Your job sharing sounds like a sweet deal! And I am going through the same thing with meals. I love food and love to eat but eating while being PG so far has been a hassle. I hope that changes by Thanksgiving - my fav. holiday! GL at your appt. today!

Noel - Do you have a recipe for your spinach artichoke ranch dip? Congrats on the stroller! That's a steal! My friend that I was visiting with last week said Britax is the best too.

Ella - I saw your post from the hospital on the main page but never got a chance to respond. I'm so glad everything is ok! Yay for the great find on the crib!

Cheryl - Congrats on the first U/S! Great HB!

Ash - What amazing U/S pics! Isn't it amazing how much they change from visit to visit? Ugh, I cannot wait until my 20 wk. U/S! My last U/S was at 9 weeks.

Cassie - Sounds like your work schedule will be getting better and I'm sure you'll appreciate the extra days off once you hit the 3T! I too feel like we did nothing this summer because of my FT schooling. We only went away one weekend. I think your fears are normal - I'm feeling the same way myself (see below). ((HUGS))

Jay - Wow - that's quite the bump you have there! Now I see why you were so worried about people figuring it out early on! I had the same dilemma at work - I told my dept. and assumed word would get around but as I've run into other ladies in the BR from other depts., they said they didn't know (either they're just being nice or honestly didn't know) but that's the response I'm getting lately.

Cara - So sorry to hear you're still feeling crummy. I've been there and can sympathize! The only drink other than water that helped me was Sprite/7-Up. It will get better in the 2T - I promise! :-)

For you ladies with car troubles, if your CHECK ENGINE light comes on, you can take it to AutoZone and they will diagnose it for free! I found this out the hard way after I took my car to the dealer and had to pay almost $100 for them to tell me all I needed was a new gas cap.

**Anyone who wants the Slow Cooker Pumpkin Pie recipe - here it is!
http://www.massageenvy.com/me-magazine/me-magazine-fall-2009/slow-cooker-pumpkin-pie.aspx

AFM - For those of you past the 2T, did you ever have moments where you just didn't feel PG anymore? I started freaking out on my commute in this morning because I swear sometimes my stomach seems big and other times it doesn't. I'm trying to remain calm until my next MW appt. on Sat. when we'll get to hear the HB again. I'm grateful for feeling better but I also like having some daily reassurance that yes, the bean is still in there. :-/

Mari-I've been thinking team pink for you all along to. Not much longer until you find out! Yay for starting your garden. Yay for DH feeling the baby move. I can't wait for that!

Ella- I am sorry that you have so much on your plate right now, between trying to get the nursery ready for the furniture and getting things ready for your next semester. I am glad that you are at home and feeling much better.

Sandy- Congrats on getting your closing date!! That is the worst part of moving, all the packing, just to unpack it again.

Ash- Yay for your first milestone! I can still fit in mine, but they are getting pretty snug and aren't very comfortable to wear. I have been wearing anything with a stretchy waist. I am so glad that your apt went so well.

Noel- Aww, I bet you had so much fun seeing your friends baby. Yay for maternity clothes! I wish I knew someone, anyone who is/was pregnant so I could borrow their clothes :) Yay for getting your new stroller! I am glad they were able to fix DH's car, no charge.

Julie- Hi!! How is the teaching going so far? I can't find anything that tastes good or sounds good either. It is so frustrating. My favorite food before I was pregnant was chicken, now I can't even stand the thought of it.

Ashley-I love your belly pictures.

Cara- How are you feeling? I know, I skipped ahead. I guess that is possible that I O'd sooner than FF thought.

Jay- Your next apt is one day before mine. I know, it seems so far away right now. You look great in your 12 week photos!

Cassie- Yay for the new schedule. I am with you, where the heck did summer go?

Carly- I am sorry you had all those problems with the landlady. That is why renting sucks!

Christine- I am slowly starting to feel better. I get bouts of M/S but it is not every day so that is nice. I just wish I wasn't so tired all the time. I think that is a good idea to have your bridal shower sooner to avoid the holidays and the crappy winter weather.

AFM- So I think I finally caught up. I finally had the energy and time to respond to everyone's post. There really hasn't been a whole lot going on here. My sister thinks she will have enough saved up to move out in the beginning of October. Plus she is filing for full custody of her girls and wants to be in a place of her own before the court date.

Today I have been watching a bunch of baby shows (A Baby Story, Birth Day,etc...) and I have been super emotional. LOL. My hormones have been out of wack for the past few days. It is like I have no patience for anyone, which is not a good thing. I don't even want to talk on the phone. Hopefully that will go away soon.

Christine – I am definitely going to make this slow-cooker pumpkin pie. I know my mother is going to want the recipe. Thanks for that. I can’t believe it was on MassageEnvy’s website. I have one by my job and by my house. I actually go there. That’s where I got my first prenatal massage. It was a couple of use ladies right before my baby shower. As for not feeling pg sometimes I swear I thought the same thing on my way to work today as well. At first it was because my stomach does the whole really big and then not so big thing, but now it is because I really can’t believe how good I feel and I know how much many of you on here are/were suffering. I honestly feel bad even saying it. I too cannot wait until my next appointment, but I think everything is okay and I am sure the same for you.

Jay,

I love Massage Envy! I actually saw the recipe in an article about slow cooking in their magazine while I was waiting for my last massage. I just happened to see if they had it online as well and voila! there it was!

I just switched locations recently (there are 2 close to my house) because I didn't really care for the first pre-natal therapist I had. She was nice and all but kept talking when it was obvious I didn't want to talk and she just didn't 'wow' me with her technique. The only other pre-natal certified therapist there is a male and I prefer to go to females so I tried a new location this past weekend. This lady was awesome!! She had me lay on my side with a body pillow (so comfy!) instead of in the foam PGcy cutout that the other lady had me use. I will def. keep going back to her.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. :-)

Ash - Nice belly pics! I know what you mean about having someone to take them. Fortunately my camera has a timer so I can just prop it up & jump into place. Of course, it usually takes several tries to get a decent pic.

Julie - I'm so happy for you having a good feeling morning! It's these little breaks that let us know there's a light at the end of the yuckiness! Have fun having your friend PG at the same time as you! That's really wonderful!

Christine - The dip is super easy. Take a pack of ranch dip mix, add 16 ozs sour cream, some frozen chopped spinach (I get the small box shaped package, don't recall the ozs. - thaw & press to get out excess water#, & a small jar of artichoke hearts #cut into smaller pieces if you want to#. Mix it all together & chill for at least an hour to let the dip mix do it's thing. It's great served in a pumpernickel bread bowl #core it out & cute up the core pieces & lay around the bowl. Unfortunately, pumpernickel seems to be hard to find these days. Dark rye works well too, lighter rye if you can't get a dark one. You can also serve it in a bowl with the bread cut up on the side. If you do serve in a bread bowl, be sure to slice the edges of the bowl some to make it easier for people to tear the bread off.
Thanks for the SCPP recipe!
As for feeling PG & the amazing shrinking growing belly, it's totally normal! The belly shifts from day to day throughout PG. I suspect it has to do with gas/bloating & other intestinal stuff as much as anything. As baby gets big it's harder to forget that you're PG, but it can still happen. Also once you feel baby moving regularly you feel more reassured that all is well. For this in-between time it helps to spend a little time relaxing & thinking about your baby growing healthy & strong. Visualizing it really helps me a lot. Hang in there!

Cheryl- Congratulations on the little bean!! When I had my 12 w. u/s my baby also measured ahead of my calculations… The technician wanted to move the EDD forward 2 whole weeks!!!! After explaining to him the facts he settled for one week early and saying that it was going to be a big baby. I´m also anxious about this u/s to see if the baby is still bigger than supposed.

Jay- I´m glad the 1t went by relatively symptom free for you, and also that you made peace with whichever gender this baby is. And by the way, your baby bump is perfect!!

Ash- Congratulations on seeing the baby! Isn´t it amazing how much they gro in just a few weeks??? By the way… 10 weeks 6 days!?!?! Wow, time really flies!! You know what this means right? Only around 3 more weeks of m/s!!!!!

Ella- Congrats on the stroller! “Did I buy it or just thought I did?” LOL!!! (it reminds me of me when I was on the pill!!!!)

Cassie- I totally get you on the worries… even now that I feel the movements, I still fear that something could go wrong… I start remembering every sad pg story about things that went wrong and it kind of freaks me out. But I guess we need to stay positive, worrying about nothing won´t help us!!

Noel- What a relief that the car thing was nothing!! And congratulations on the rummage sale deals!!!! I was reading about Simone and the doll and I had to smile… aren’t tweens the most contradictory beings on earth?? One day they are acting all grown up, and the next they fall in love with a toy!!

Carly- Hang in there!!

Julie- What is this “job sharing” thing that you are doing? (I know you´ll do it great by the way)

Christine- Don´t worry about the “not feeling pregnant” thing. I had it too at the beginning of the 2T. It´s like you´ve been feeling like crap all 1T, but at the same time it was the one thing that told you there was a baby inside. Then, you feel better, there is no bump yet to speak of (it´s usually mostly gas), and you kind of forget!! But you´ll get the baby movements and a bigger bump almost together… and in just a few weeks!!

Noel - KUP about your level 2 u/s tomorrow, I bet you're looking forward to seeing your little man again!

Jay - cute bump! So sweet :)

Julie - good to hear that you're having (or had?) a good day... just take it one day at a time. The 1T will be over soon!

Christine - I KWYM about not feeling pregnant - I remember feeling that way early in the 2T. I think it's normal for that stage. You're feeling better, but your belly isn't quite popped yet (usually), and you aren't necessarily feeling baby move yet... I remember thinking "How do I REALLY know I'm still PG?". (((HUGS))) Hang in there, your babe is doing great. I know it will feel good to hear that hb at your appt, though. :)

AFM - the nursery work is nearly finished and I am SO FREAKING excited! My dad finished stripping the wood, put stain on it, then shellac (makes it semi-glossy), and I can't BELIEVE how beautiful the wood looks. The pics won't even do it justice. Picked up the paint today - hope I didn't make a mistake... kinda had to make a snap decision and ended up going with a muted (but not pastel) Rose color. I think it's going to be nice, a very calming RESTFUL color... but not sure DH likes it... oh well, it's done now!!! I'm sure he'll like it when it's all finished. The crib is going to look so nice with the wood and the color. Can't wait to show you girls!

Marianna - The swimming gym sounds great! As for the suit, maybe wait & see if you really love the swimming first? I've been wearing a regular tankini (skirted) so far & it's still working. With my first PG I just work a boy leg bikini, but I'd never want to bare that much of me these days. As for the red ants, I'd get rid of them as non-toxically as you can, before they get too big & established. I had horrible problems with ants eating all of my veggies one year. It's awful about the puppies! So sweet of you to take care of them & find a place to take them! I hope some place does soon so that you're not in a pickle!

Sandy - Sorry things are being so stressful! That really sucks! You Mom needs to chill out about the shower for now. I can't even imagine sending invites this far ahead of the shower, so no RSVPs yet shouldn't be a big surprise. She should just call the ones who haven't RSVP'd a week or two before the shower if she already sent the invites. She certainly shouldn't dump her worries on you while you're in the middle of the house purchase & move. Good job taking it easy. Soon you'll be settling into your new house & thrilled just to be there, even in the middle of a pile of boxes.

Ella - Yea!! For the nursery getting there! That's wonderful! It really sounds lovely. Can't wait to see the pics!
