Gravol?

Last night I was feeling really ill. I wasn't sure if it was because I had finished my prescription for Diclectin the day before, or if it was just because I spent too much time in the sun. I felt great this morning.

I had to travel today, and now I'm feeling awful again. I'm worried that I should have refilled my prescription, but now I'm out of town and feeling terrible :( I still don't know if it's really "morning sickness" or if it's from traveling this time.

I have some Gravol with me - do you think it would be okay to take just for the few days I'm here? I don't want to feel like this all week!

Hi Alyssa,

I checked on Motherisk and it says Gravol is safe in pregnancy. I think you would be fine to take it until you get home. The hospital gave me Gravol with Nubane when I was in labor which helped me sleep.

Thanks Ruby! I took one pill last night but it didn't really seem to help much. Maybe I'll take it earlier today to see if I can prevent the sickness from coming on. I might also look for a walk-in clinic so I can just get a refill on my prescription.

I have no idea what that is, but I am hoping that you feel better soon. No fun being sick, let alone when you are traveling.

Did you find the clinic?? I hope you are feeling better! I know how awful it is, but probably your m/s will be gone in the next 3 weeks!

I managed to find a clinic and get a prescription! Yay!! I feel better just knowing I'll feel better (maybe some of it's in my head too?).

Jess - Diclectin is a medication in Canada for morning sickness. It has made my life *much* easier these past few weeks.

I was sure I would be over the m/s thing once I got into the 2T, which is why I didn't get a new prescription. Hopefully it won't last too much longer :S

Oh, thanks for clearing that up, Jen!! I thought Jess was asking about Diclectin, but realize she may have been asking about Gravol. Wow - I just assumed that it was an American product - sorry about that everyone!

Anyway, I also tend to get motion sickness worse now, so I'll keep the Gravol on hand in case.

Alyssa--

I really hope the m/s eases up soon. I know it can be pretty miserable.

On the plus side, you eventually get used to it. ;)

Alyssa - I was asking about the Gravol - never heard of it, but we do have Dramamine down here in the States :)

Glad you are feeling better, hope the m/s goes away soon.

Yeah, never heard of Gravol, but Dramamine is really common, like for car or air sickness . . .

Anyway, glad you were able to get your prescription refilled, hopefully you feel better soon!
