Hi ladies,

DH and I are still having some trouble settling on a name (though I know we still have lots of time).

Personally I am a fan of Theodore... wonder why right, however I think it's too long with the 2 middle names and a 3 syllable last name. The same goes for Thaddeus.

I think Luther is too many L names in one name.

Eric I like best, I think Eric Loren John Andreo is a very strong sounding name. Eric also has a good meaning behind it.

The other ones I am mehn about... don't really feel strongly either way.

I love Luther, Henry, Theodore, and Thaddeus.

Eric and Seth I don't like as much just because I prefer longer full names which have a shorter version that you can use as a nickname.

I don't think it matters that your son will have 2 middle names, it isn't like he will be saying his whole name all the time so length wouldn't be important to me.

One thing which I do think is important is the nicknames! Personally I would never go with a name which had a shortened form which I strongly disliked. Sure when they are young you have a bit of influence in what they are called but once they are older they can decide for themselves and I would hate to be stuck listening to a form of the name I didn't like. So as a question for you, do any of these names have versions you don't like? Maybe that could help you narrow your list.

Have fun choosing:)

I'm with Kate - I love the name Eric. It has a strong, masculine sound and goes well with your last name. I'm also with Ash, I don't like a lot of names that are too short (so Seth is just ok for me), but because Eric is two syllables, I like it. Also it's my uncle's name and brother's middle name, so it has nice associations for me.

I don't really care for the name Thaddeus, it looks beautiful spelled out, but it's kind of a mouthful?

The others - Theodore, Henry and Luther, I'm pretty neutral on.

I Honestly think that Theodore is the best one that flows. My friend just had a little boy (I have a little girl) and she did some research that said that boys with "different" or "unique" names have a harder time in school. THey named their little guy Henry. and I am now totally in love with that name as well. and it's so not what I would have thought they would have picked. She is a very outgoing, creative person, so I assumed her sons name would follow, but I totally love it and it fits him.

And from my experience (not sure if this is your first or not) but We had a list of 2 names and went into the birth and then picked. We were dead set on Sophie Marie for our little one and she came out and I looked at her and said nope, she is going to be Gabriella Lorraine..and it totally fits her, I can't imagine her being a sophie.

I think 'Eric Andreo' and 'Henry Andreo' both flow nice & smooth. Seth is my third pick.

'Theodore Andreo' is a bit rhymey for me (with 2 strong "O"s)... 'Thaddeus Andreo' is a bit of a mouthful... and Luther is so mature & masculine to me that I can't picture a baby boy with it!

I really like Eric and Henry with the whole name in front of me.

Tough choices huh!?

Personally, I like "Eric" the best with your last name. Henry second best. Seth I like the least, and everything else falls somewhere in between.

I think boys names are so hard! We talked names before we knew the sexes and NEVER agreed once on a boys name! Best of luck!

I personally like the name Seth- I wanted to use that name but DH won't have it as it sounds too much like a bad word in his language

I vote for Henry, Eric, and Theodore, in that order.

I think Henry is just so classic. There's a lady in my LLL group that has a 3 mo. old named Henry and it fits him perfectly. Eric is nice and short and with the two syllables, goes nice with your last name. I like Theodore (we need more Theos around this board, j/k!) if you were going to use the NN Teddy. I think Teddy Andreo has a nice ring to it.
