New Pregnancy Thread - October

Does this work? I haven't been able to post or see the end of a thread (like, get to the last post) since the board change over. Wondering if we can post/reply if we start a brand new thread?
Goodness... last time they changed things we didn't like the format/look of the boards, but at least they functioned!

Hey Ladies, I agree. I normally have the threads sent to my email and that's not working either....
Mandy - I am glad everything is okay. I had the same thing with my DD when I was like 6.5 weeks, I totally freaked out but they did the same thing and I saw the little blueberry ;)
I had an AWESOME!!! Appointment today. I was totally nervous because this was with the new OB. but she is super cool! Like as awesome as my MW. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She fits my personality style and everything. I voiced my concerns about being induced and how I wanted to do everything I could to not do that. She said my numbers were looking good and that the only time they are high is when I cheat and she goes "Honestly you have to cheat sometimes or you will go nuts". LOVE IT! She said she thinks "too big" to deliver would be if the baby were 10lbs so we are no where near that and being that Gabby was 7lbs 7oz she doesn't think this one will get that way either - and Gabby was a week late. so I am hoping for an 8lb baby or so! She said if she were to induce me she would strip my membranes and break the bag and send me home to walk it off ;)
I had the GBS test today so since she was down there she checked my cervix and I am already 1cm....but I know that means NOTHING at this point. I am 36 weeks, I just can't believe I am getting my cervix checked. I mean where did this time go???
I sat up in the nursery the other day and realized I am going to have two little girls soon. I mean I have always known this but it really made me stop and think. and can I just say how calming (atleast for me) it is to sit in their bedrooms. I find so much solice when I see their rooms...

Jessica- I can't believe you are that far along already.
Anyway some good news. I got a job offer for another position with my company that laid me off. But I am torn. I interviewed for a dental office job that pays twice the pay so now I don't know what to do. The job starts Nov 12th. I am going to talk to DH and see what he thinks. I think I May take it and if I get the other job then just quit.But if I do end up still there then I will keep all my benefits and my FMLA and short term disabilty which will be great with the baby. But downside is that we will have to figure out schedule for David since I will be having to drive downtown everyday again
I was spoiled working at home.

I probably won't be posting as much since I still can't see posts on my phone (UGH!) I hope that gets fixed soon.
Anyway...I took the job offer from my old company. The deciding decision was FMLA and short term disability during my pregnancy and all my benefits went back to what they were. Plus when I called to accept the offer the pay is a lot more than I thought so I'm making a little more than I was before.
In baby news I have my gender ultrasound on Friday. We're taking David so this should be interesting. He wants a brother. I also felt first movements today. I don't remember how far I was with David. I guess they aren't kidding about forgetting things during pregnancy. But I guess if we didn't forget things we might not get pregnant again. My OB said I would start feeling sooner but I don't remember since I can't remember last time.

Mandy - We did the eye goop stuff and didn't have an issue, but definitely if it's a concern discuss with your OB and like Ella said it's optional. We delayed the Hep B vac until we discussed it with our peds office. I think she ended up getting it at like 2 weeks instead of in the hospital. Definitely find a new OB if they don't want to listen to your concerns....
Ella - Yep I am getting close! I really can't believe it. I mean how did this happen. I had an appointment on Friday - Can't remember if I posted about that here or not with my new OB and she is amazing! She doesn't think she needs to induce before 40 weeks. They will induce me though if she isn't here by the 16th. But if they do induce they are talking about just stripping my membranes and possibly breaking my bag and sending me home. But all depends on my cervix. Friday they checked my cervix because I had to do the Group Strep test - which I am positive for. So definitely hooked up to the antibiotics in the IV again. but I am sure I will be on insulin again and have my IV tree as DH called it :) I was 1cm dilated on Friday.
Today I had an appointment and another US. The ultrasound went well. She took awhile to get the movements because little pineapple just wasn't as active, but she is making up for it the rest of the day. They found a little fluid in her left kidney that was high, around 10 something, but then when she was waiting for the movement Pineapple must have peed because it dropped down to 4.7. She still had to measure it and report it to my MW, but she didn't see any issues with it. They will watch it over the next few weeks and see how it goes and if it's a problem, but I am not going to worry about it.
this MW (Different than the one I normally see) though the same about induction, so I have three opinions all from the same place all saying the same thing, so it makes me feel good in my choice in practice.
She is head down and dropped a little so now it's just a waiting game. DH told her last night that she needs to either come now, or wait until after the first weekend in november so he can go deer hunting ;) I told her the same thing.
Now I tried to redo my siggie it was too big. So I tried to resize it through photobucket and it messed up so now I don't have a siggie. I guess I will have to try and do a new one I know Adrienne did the last one but I think she is due with her baby soon if she hasn't already had him. oh well. another frustrating thing on here.
