Yay for a new stroller Kim!

I wasn't going to buy anything until we find out what the baby is (and maybe nothing then) but last week on craigslist this lady was selling one of those pregnancy body pillow things, and then a whole bunch of cute stuff that I totally did not need (fleurville diaper bag, pocket sling, mai tai carrier, nursing covers) anyway, I bought the whole lot because it was such a good deal, and I'm sooo happy with it, I was really tired of my old diaper bag, and so far I love the body pillow.

Cheryl- How are you feeling now? How is it dealing with a baby and being pregnant? I've considered that in some ways this stage would maybe be easier since Lucas probably still sleeps a lot, and doesn't move too quickly. I threw out my back Friday chasing James as he ran as fast as he could move toward the edge of a lake!

AFM- This baby hardly moves at all, it is so weird. James was like doing acrobatics in there by this point, and I feel this baby move like 3 times a day, it's very different. I also still haven't really gained any weight, I'm not worried about that at all, but I know I'll probably hear about it at my next midwife appointment...

Kim ~ Yay on shopping and a new stroller.

Grace ~ I hope your next MW appointment goes well. When is it? I have the opposite problem, I think they are going to tell me I gained too much weight too fast, but that happened last time I was PG as well.

Cheryl ~ You've been missed. It's good to see you.

AFM ~ Things are pretty good... I can't wait for 2T to really kick in and I get some energy back. We still have a whole downstairs to paint this summer. My moses basket came in this week. It's super cute. We now need to order the stand for it.

Kim & Grace - Yeah for buying stuff!! Grace sounds like you have an awesome deal on all that stuff, that's great.

Kate - What is a moses basket? I am assuming it's like a bassinet?

AFM - I had a great weekend. Friday night DH and I just hung around the house and got stuff done, chatted with some neighbors, took a walk. Saturday we went to pick up some blocks for our retaining wall, and then ended up touring the middle of MN trying to get to my Aunts, and had to go through 6 detours....a few years ago if that had happened, we would have been at each others throats, but this time it was super fun :) We had a great time at my Aunts, she and my cousin made this awesome blanket for Peanut - I will have to take a picture of it.

Today we went to a local zoo with my BIL, SIL and Niece. it was super warm, but a lot of fun. WE had a bunch of friends over to move the block from DH's truck and then we BBQ. it was super fun. Now just chilling.

Pregnancy wise, I don't feel any different. I really don't think she is coming until at least the 15th of August if not later than that, but we will see. I am a bit concerned that when we go in for the US tomorrow that my MW is going to want to tell me that we are going to have to induce earlier if she doesn't come, but not much I can do about that, we will see what she says on Wednesday.

Jessica ~ A moses basket is an alternative to a bassinet. It's designed to be smaller and more portable (not that you carry baby in it, but rather it's easier to move from upstairs to downstairs, etc). We got this one: http://www.badgerbasket.com/products/productPage.asp?PID=486&CID=24

I hope your appointment goes well today. I have one this afternoon as well, and I have 2 big concerns... 1) they will get on me about how much weight I have gained and 2) they won't be able to find the HB, and we'll have to rush over to the local hospital for an US. I have a tilted uterus and that makes finding the HB in early PG difficult via dopler.

Adrienne – thanks for starting the thread! I hope you have a great vacation!

Kim – yay for a new stroller! We also ordered ours a few days ago. Good luck selling the old ones.

Grace – strange how different babies are! Maybe this one will get more active later on. I wouldn’t worry about the weight. I barely gained anything (3 pounds) for the first 4 months, then gained 9 pounds in a month :S

Kate – hoping the 2T comes quickly for you! Glad your moses basket came in and you’re happy with it. Good luck with your appointment today. Fingers crossed that all goes well.

Jess – sounds like a great weekend! Good luck at the u/s today.

AFM - we are starting to buy some of the smaller, yet necessary, things for Evan. We bought a bunch of bath-related stuff yesterday.

I'm really not sure what I want do to for a breast pump. The plan is to breast feed while I stay home. Right now, I will stay home at least 6 months, but could take up to a year off. I will most likely only breastfeed up to a year (if I can, of course). I want to get a pump so DH can feed Evan sometimes, in case we go out, and to have a backup supply in case I go back to work earlier - would a manual pump be okay for this, or should I invest in an electric one?

Kim,I know you "know" strollers. What would you recommend for a small compact buggy type stroller? Our Emmaljunga is great but it is SO big and I want a 2nd smaller stroller for short trips.
