Hi all, not up for personals right now, but glad everyone is doing well.
Nothing much going on. First trimester is a bit more exhausting now with two toddlers to run after then only one, and it was pretty exhausting with just one to run after as well. Desmond and Eloise woke up for the day at 6:30am this morning which was so much fun. My breasts are really sore and chapped, which sucks, but lanolin seems to be helping at least some. Eloise is still trying to nurse every 90 minutes or so and gets really upset when I tell her no. No morning sickness yet a minor drop of nausea but mainly when I need to eat, not full out or anything. I'm hoping it remains this way, I prefer my non-morning sick pregnancies.
We had fun at Sesame Place this weekend, though I found that the roller coaster wasn't the best choice for me, made me a bit dizzy, oops. I didn't even try the teacups!
All in all kind of boring here, just mainly exhaustion as my only real symptom. It does feel weird that no one except DH and I know about the pregnancy and I haven't told my Mom yet, but I am still committed to waiting till after my brother's wedding.
Alyssa, have you checked with your hospital to see if they rent pumps? My friend rented one from our local hospital and just used that at work. It doesn't come in as cute a package as the fancy ones, but it worked well for her and was cheaper for the few months she was pumping and working.
Liz, I'm glad your tummy is doing a little better, though still sorry that the nausea hasn't gone away. I hope your showers go well!
Devin, yay for almost 2T! Announcing on your birthday sounds fun!
Cheryl, I'm glad your appointment went fine today. I hope Friday's appointments go even better! I'm curious to know your EDD!
Kate, yay for a good strong heartbeat! That stroller looks nice. I have no idea what I want in a stroller yet, so I like hearing/seeing what people are getting.
Grace, I'm glad you are feeling good. I hope your appointment goes fine and that your weight gain is perfect.
Kim, I can't believe people ask when you are due! I would never, unless I heard the person specifically talking about her pregnancy. I can be a bit over sensitive, though.
AFM, I've been having a really hard time with food. I haven't lost my lunch yet, but have been dry heaving more and more every day. It is really hard to find anything that I feel like eating, which is making food shopping hard. We never have anything to eat, but there is nothing I want to it! It's a vicious cycle.
I'm having some little throbbing pains on my right side, and I'm not sure if it is growing pains or what. I went to a party last Saturday, and saw a picture of myself and was surprised at the little bulge in my lower abdomen! I'm on the heavier side, so I didn't think I would notice anything for a while. A year ago, I was 20 pounds heavier than I am right now and 3 months ago I was 15 pounds lighter than I am right now. Fortunately, people will probably just think that I am getting fat again and not ask if I'm pg when I go back to work in 4 weeks, but not if all the weight is below my belly button!
Day 3 and I am already behind... ;) I will try to do personals tonight or tomorrow..I am just so tired today.
I don't remember (and yes I am too lazy to look) if I updated on my appointment yesterday, but the Ultrasound went well, she is measuring at around 7 1/2lbs or low 8lbs. Big girl. and I have an appointment tomorrow with the midwife. 39 Weeks today! Craziness is what is is. Especially since Kass and Mary are already done ;) I still think she won't be here until the 15th of August, but we will find out. I would be happy any day after Thursday.
It's so darn hot here in MN. it's supposed to be 92 today but feel like over 100 with the dewpoint! I will be inside all day at least, but it's so uncomfortable at night. even sleeping naked, with no covers, the fan on high and the air conditioning, I am still uncomfortable. I probably got like 4 hours of sleep last night. so hopefully tonight will be better. I think THursday it's supposed to go back down to 85 degrees.
Jess ~ Thanks for the update. glad baby girl is looking good.
Sarah ~ Sorry about all the 1T blahs. I don't remember, when are you and DH telling everyone about the baby?
Emmy ~ Also sorry about your 1T blahs. I know the feeling of going food shopping and nothing looking good and not buying anything... you should try having a 6 year old at home as well... one that will eat you out of house and home.
AFM ~ Nothing new the last day PG wise, but I am so annoyed w/ DH this morning. He's been putting off going to the dentist and putting it off, and yesterday his face was swollen and his hasn't slept in days over it, so myself and one of his friends finally convince him to go see a dentist and now it's this big emergency and he keeps calling me at work looking for insurance info and stuff like that. This is something he should have taken care of already. Honestly, he's called at least 10 times plus another dozen e-mails... I have work to do here. So annoying.
Kim - Congrats on the stroller.
Grace - Congrats on the great deal.
Kate - Congrats on the moses basket.
I forgot to mention...I got this great gift this weekend.
Ugh I'm already behind and we're barely 30 posts in ... here goes ...
Alyssa - I can't wait to see the picture of the knitted letters! I love knitting but I seem to have no time anymore. I started a blanket for my daughter before Christmas last year and still am barely halfway done.
Sarah - I'm sorry you're having a rough time with early pregnancy. I hope it lets up for you soon!
Emmy - I had that same problem with not eating earlier on, mostly just that nothing ever sounded any good. Its finally starting to let up. Hopefully the experience is similar for you too and it only lasts you a few more weeks!
Jessica - I hope she comes soon for you! I remember how hot I was at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter -- definitely the worst time to be big and pregnant.
Leona - I'm glad your husband is feeling more relaxed. My husband was freaked out until the moment our daughter was born. And then they just kind of clean baby off and hand her to you and leave you alone. That was about the scariest thing. All of a sudden she was here and we were alone with her and even after all that planning we had no idea what to do. Babies are scary! Lol.
AFM - I found all of my maternity clothes yesterday and washed and sorted them. And realized that almost none of them will work for this winter, lol. Almost all of them are sleeveless or the sleeves are so short or flouncy that they may as well be sleeveless. I figure I can wear some of the tank tops under cardigans and sweaters, but I'm going to have to supplement a lot for the winter. Yay for shopping though! Lol! I found some XS's at Motherhood Maternity and picked up 2 long-sleeved shirts and a 3/4 sleeved shirt, and just ordered a few jackets from Old Navy so I should be ok for the fall at least, lol. I don't think I'll need maternity clothes for a few weeks yet though. I didn't move into them until about 22 weeks with my daughter, so I figure at the earliest it'll probably be 4 months this time, which is a month away. I'm just a planner.
Alyssa - Yeah for buying stuff and I am glad you found a stroller and sounds like you are getting the nursery completed! And Congrats on the 24 week mark!
Grace - I am glad you are enjoying the 2T, I remember how much energy I had and how good I felt.
Devin - I can't wait to hear about how the big announcement goes on Friday and Happy Early Birthday!! What a great day, Your Birthday, 2T, and the announcement! Great on buying the maternity clothes. Sucks you can't reuse the ones you have already.
Kim - I keep telling myself she is going to come late so I am not expecting her early. There is this big camping trip this weekend and my IL's aren't going (even though the MIL wants to go) because I "Might" go early. I told them last night that they should just go it's not that far away and they can get back in plenty of time (especially since we aren't allowing them in the hospital until after). My SIL went 3 weeks early, so they think that's going to happen with me...well already not happening ;)
Ash - I can't believe how big Teddy is getting!!
Liz - Sorry that your tailbone is hurting and you still have M/S...I also had a butt lodged in my ribs for awhile, fun isn't it?? Now I have both of her feet and fist sticking out one side all the time that I can't lay on my left side because she gets pissed and pushes. Have fun at your showers! and I can't wait to see the Nursery!
Cheryl - I hope you can make it to the Zoo. DH and I LOVE It. In fact we found out after we got together that we both volunteered at the same zoo (just different areas) the same years...so we probably saw each other :) I Hope you are feeling better! and Happy 4 months to Lucas! I can't believe he is 4 months already
Kate - Awesome stroller and I am glad the appt went well. I hope your DH found some relief at the dentist. My DH would be the same way, always waiting until the last minute. Yeah for 12 weeks!!
Sarah - I don't know how you are doing it! But I hope you get some energy back soon.
Emmy - I hope you can find some foods you can eat soon.
Leona - I am glad that you are feeling more relaxed and so is DH. Are you feeling not relaxed because it's just the MW's and not an OB?
