Alyssa - Awesome about the car! I always wanted a Toyota Matrix....
Sarah - I hope everyone in your household feels better soon ,that's no fun. and Good luck with your appointment, I hear you on the pap smear.
AFM - I am still here...just waiting. I think next pregnancy I am going to extend out my due date by 2 weeks ;) and then people won't bug me as much. I am not as crabby as I was the other day. I have my midwife appointment this afternoon, I wish it was this morning, but oh well, what can you do. Keep your fingers crossed there is some progression. Yesterday when I got home from a boring day at work, I cleaned up the entire kitchen, DH and I cleaned the bathrooms, ran errands, I took out all the trash and the recycling. We wrapped up the presents we bought for his dad (his birthday is tomorrow). This morning before I started work, we went for a walk because it's been so warm, I vacuumed the upstairs, had breakfast, made DH's lunch. then on a break I vacuumed the downstairs, got all the cob webs sucked up an started a load of laundry.
I am feeling a little tighter in my stomach, this is probably TMI, but my Discharge has been different. yesterday most of the day it was almost nothing and then I got home and it was a ton. again this morning I had a huge amount and now really nothing again. I felt like I was in the bathroom a TON yesterday, had a BM like 5 times, which is way more than normal and I didn't have any more fiber than usual. So I am hoping it's my body getting ready for the delivery. DH and I had sex last night and it was so disappointing, He was tired and just wanted a quicky, but I didn't even get to really enjoy it. I don't like the position that works for us very much, but whatever...I want to try again tonight. I really don't want our last time before she comes to be remembered like that.
Sorry for the rambling.
Jess - good luck at your appointment this afternoon! I hope that your body is making progress. The discharge is a good sign though - or at least it was for me.
Nope, no ultrasound yet, probably next week. This is just the intake appointment. It should have been last week, but since I need DH to watch the terrors while I am at the appointment I scheduled it for the day I knew he would be home since the terrors have eye doctor appointments tomorrow.
I'm hoping to have the dating ultrasound next Thursday morning before we leave to drive to Atlanta for my brother's wedding.
Alyssa: Congrats on the new car.
Jess: Glad to know you're still hanging in there.
Lisa: When is your first OB visit for? Does your Dr usually do a dating US? Sorry about the exhaustion.
Sarah: I am sorry everyone seems to be under the weather. I hope you get to see your bean at your next appointment.
AFM: I had terrible insomnia last night. I would have given anything to sleep. I really hope tonight is not a repeat. I haven't been a good sleeper since my brother past away in March 09, aside from when I had 1T exhaustion. So I really hope my old bad sleep patterns are not coming back.
Erin - WOW Congrats! I had to stop and think a moment of when you were due!! But I am glad things are going well, and I hope you guys can get your kitchen done soon.
AFM - I had my midwife appointment(this is the 3rd time starting this post)this afternoon. It didn't go quite as I had hoped, but still wasn't too bad. I have no progression, my cervix is a bit softer than last time, but no dilation. Peanut's HB was good and strong still, BP was great! But because of the GD she is wanting me to go no later than next Wednesday. So I have an end date now. I have an U/S scheduled for Monday morning and then an appt w/my MW and then a NST after that at the hospital - will be a busy morning....luckily I don't have meetings and hopefully I can make up some of the hours, although I am not going to worry too much about it.
If I don't have her by next Wednesday evening, DH and I will be at the hospital, having my cervix ripened and then Thursday morning I will have an induction. So cross your fingers and send me good positive thoughts that little peanut will come before then.
We lost power tonight and DH made the best of it and played cribbage by candlelight and DTD.
Erin: Wow and congrats!!!!
Jess: Glad to hear you have a plan of action for the next week.
AFM: I slept OK last night. I had to be a put up a stink to get DH to turn off the TV at 9:15 so I could go to sleep while I was tired (living room is off limits right now with the painting, etc)... but then I woke up a few times and it took a while to fall back asleep. But I did sleep some and feel better today.
Glad you have an end date Jessica, I am impressed they are letting you go to 41 weeks with GD, they insisted on me being induced at 39 weeks with Desmond when I had GD which I think helped lead to his c-section, since he was not ready to come yet.
Kate: Glad you got some sleep last night.
As for me, nothing much. Today is my first midwife appointment. It is just an intake appointment and blood work so I am not expecting much.
Kate - Glad you slept a little better last night. I have had to do that with DH as well, like can you just shut off the TV ;) Now if I go to bed before him he watches TV downstairs, but then makes so much noise getting ready for bed that it's almost better for me to fall asleep on the couch.
Sarah - I think she let me go this long because I have been controlling the GD with diet and exercise. I am sure if I was on meds or something she wouldn't let me go as long and I think the only reason we are waiting until next Thursday is because that's when she is on call ;)
I am feeling a little different today, but I think it's more because I want to feel different...so we will see.
