Wow our thread looks SO funny with the streak of blue followed by the streak of pink!  I can't believe so many of us are in the third trimester already (I'm almost there, too, can't believe it!)  It's going to be so fun watching all the new babies pop out in the next few months!

Personals from the end of July:

Jamie--That is kind of a good approach thinking of sex-as-exercise, LOL!  Though I was in no mood to do any kind of exercising EITHER after baby because I was so pooped, LOL!  Anyway if I don't get an awful tear this time maybe things will be different for me.  As it was last time it was still painful for over 6 months . . . :smileysad:

Ash--Woohoo for registering at the hospital!!  I would be getting excited too, if I were you--the end of the pregnancy is my least favorite of all and I'm SO ready to have a baby by then!

I would probably also be excited at the possibility of dropping Jamey off somewhere for a few days a week but that probably won't be happening for several years thanks to our awesome system in the States.  ;-)

Liz--Is it possible that the baby is pressing on a nerve?  Maybe a chiropractic adjustment would help?  Is it sciatica (in the butt/back of the legs) or down your inner thigh?   I hope you've already figured it out by now or it's gotten better on it's own, that does not sound fun at all.

Cassie--I'm so sorry that you are not pregnant.  I had a blighted ovum too and it sucks to feel pregnant on the one hand but there to be no baby.  :smileysad:  I hope you will be joining us again soon as well.

And onto August...

Ruby--OMG congrats!!  It's so awesome to be pregnant with you again YaaaaaY.  Were you guys officially "trying" or what?  I haven't been able to keep up with the TTC thread in awhile.

Sandy--Good luck with the u/s!  I'm sure everything will be fine!  You'll prob even be able to see a HB by then!

Liz--I was OCD enough to have sorted the baby clothes by size in the first place as Jamey grew out of them and I've already re-sorted (some things you fit in for longer so even though he grew out of them at 3 mos old it doesn't mean that he wasn't wearing them at birth, KWIM)  in the beginning of the pregnancy as a distraction from the nausea!

Anyway going through baby clothes was always one of my fav things anyway--you can re-sort your baby diapers too I know you'll have fun with that!  ;-)

Shawn--YAY for no Zofran!  Are you actually enjoying food yet?   I stopped throwing up at 20 weeks but it took another week or two to really get INTO eating and then I was SO INTO IT.  LOL

CassieJune--Welcome to the thread!  You are still nursing Benjamin and will try to tandem?  I am still nursing my Jamey too and very much hope to make it to tandem!  If you haven't gotten it yet I would HIGHLY recommend the "Adventures in Tandem Nursing" book!  It has been my bible through the pregnancy!  Also FYI your milk is likely to reduce/dry up by the end of the first trimester . . . it doesn't happen to EVERYONE but it seems to happen to most people.  Apparently some kids don't care at all though and keep nursing just as much anyway, LOL!

Ash--Weren't you like 42 weeks with Teddy!?  I sure hope you don't go that late again!  LOL

That is so awesome you love your new doctor!  Sounds like a great appt.

Elyse--Wow you already know you are being induced?  Is there a medical reason or are you just done-zo with being pregnant?  I HATE the last month so I definitely relate if that's the case but I'm sure you know that induction increases the odds of c/s and some other complications . . . anyway good luck either way I hope you have an awesome L+D!

Elyse- That sounds like a good plan, I can't believe your labor was SO fast last time!! I also have heard that inductions tend to be even more succesful in women who have given birth before, so I am sure that breaking your water will be more then enough to do the trick... if it hasn't already happened yet :smileyvery-happy:

Adrienne- Actually I was only 4 days over last time, they changed my due date to fit the baby's size early on in the pregnancy but now we know he was just big and my dating wasn't off. Plus as you know every pregnancy is different, and while last time I had an excess of amniotic fluid that really kept labor from getting off the ground, this time that isn't the case. I trust my instincts and my body and do think that baby will be here before the expected date but we'll see :smileyhappy: Do you have any family nearby that could watch James once or twice a week for a few hours? That can be a big help as well, we just don't have that option.

AFM- I'm scheduling a deluxe pedicure and facial today, ideally for Saturday but I am guessing it is a bit too late to get in, but at least it will be on the calender for next week. I'm going to try and get lots of pampering in for myself before it is too late LOL.

Ash - Good for you for getting a facial and pedicure! I need to schedule a few things like that in my last couple of weeks. Might as well pamper myself before I have a baby to pamper instead! I'm really glad you're loving the new doctor and came out of the appt. feeling so good. It's a really nice feeling - I get it from the one midwife on staff at my practice. I always leave appts. with her feeling really upbeat and in a good mood about everything.

Cassie - I'm glad your sickness turned out to be a bug and not some super morning sickness already! Hope you continue to feel better.

Liz - Good luck getting the clothes sorted and working on a girl name. I HATE girl names. DH and I have three boy's names we like/agree on. We have no girl names we're even close with. Pretty much if we have a girl next, her name is going to Paul or William. LOL.

Elyse - Good luck! I hope James comes on his own in the next few days, but if not, it sounds like your induction should go really smoothly. Can't wait to hear his birth story.

Shawn - I'm glad you don't have to take the Zofran anymore! That's great. Boo to already getting bad sleep though. My hips have been taking a beating at night some nights. Sleeping with a pillow between my legs helps, but it's hard because I don't normally sleep like that and all night long I find myself kicking the pillow out and then putting it back in place!

Adrienne - I really hope you don't get an awful tear this time. I'm hoping to get back into exercise (not just sex-as-exercise, but real exercise, lol) after the birth. We'll see how I'm feeling. I will have tons and tons of help though. DH will be home a lot in the beginning & my mom is retired, lives super close and wants to be very, very involved (and we get along amazingly, so that won't be a burden at all). I'm hoping that will allow me 20-30 minutes there and there to start back up with my elliptical or something as soon I can, physically. I guess we'll see!

Elsye - I like your plan of action for labor. With my first my labor was 6 hours and I went from 6 to pushing in 15 minutes. With my 2nd my total labor was 2 hours; but I was also 4cm dilated the week before. I think with me once I hit a certain point I just go fast... and I am totally concerned about having the next one in the car or something. I really hope you don't go into labor at work or something.

Name/SO Name: Jessica & Mike

How many weeks are you?25 this Friday

Any exciting dates/appointments this month? No the usual - Nutritionist & MW check, hopefully I can actually see my midwife this time.

Do you feel like you will go early or late? Probably early and I am really hoping late won't happen because it will screw up the time I get off with the baby.

How are you feeling physically? okay mostly, but this hot weather is killing me. it was almost 100 yesterday again.

How are you feeling emotionally? crappy, only because this remodel is totally stressing me out!

What's on your to-do list to get ready for baby this month? Same as last month try to get Gabby into her new room so we can start getting the baby's room done. I did go through all of Gabby's clothes though and did an inventory and I just need a few 0-3 month stuff but I am going to wait.

**What tricks have you used to stay cool while PG in this unbearably hot summer? Stay inside as long as you can..that's all I have :smileywink:

Name/SO Name: Jules and DH

How many weeks are you? 23 - 24 on Saturday.

Any exciting dates/appointments this month? Just a regular check up on the 13th.

Do you feel like you will go early or late? I have no idea.  I hope I go right on time!

How are you feeling physically? LIKE UTTER CRAP.  Sorry, but I am.  I have a kidney infection and this heat is a butt buster.  I don't move much right now....

How are you feeling emotionally? Like I'm ready for fall!  I think it will get easier when school starts (so the kids are a little busier).

What's on your to-do list to get ready for baby this month? Just starting to prep diapers and maybe order a mesh crib bumper.

Do you know the gender yet? If not, are you thinking pink or blue? It's Pink!! Another little girl.

**What tricks have you used to stay cool while PG in this unbearably hot summer? Lots of ice water, not eating too much and staying INSIDE.

Jules - Happily married and Momma to DS, DD and expecting our Caboose Baby 11/24/2012
