Shawn- You forgot to tell us the most important part, how was your vacation? :smileyhappy: I also hate answering on my phone!

AFM- I'm trying so hard to just enjoy the last weeks but it is pretty unfair that they make them SO uncomfortable. Everytime I get out of bed I have random surging pains in my stomach, walking is difficult after about 10 feet, etc- how can anyone really enjoy these last weeks? But I am really trying, although Teddy is getting about 45 minutes of "Max and Ruby" a day which I am not thrilled about but sometimes I just need a break...

I interviewed three new babysitters today to watch Teddy for 3 hours on Monday and Friday when the baby comes and we don't have the tagesmutter so that DH can still go in to work for a few hours and I won't need to be alone with the baby and Teddy. He seemed to like all of them alright, but we'll see how the test afternoons go next week. He is just so active that I could tell at least one might not be a good fit. We'll see!

Ash! Just had to thread crash to say I've been thinking about you a lot lately as you are in the home stretch!! Can't wait to hear about the sweet boy's birth and see pics :smileyhappy: Promise you'll post a new thread so I don't miss it, okay!?!? Hang in there, it sounds like the end of pregnancy isn't treating you very nicely! :smileysad: And ps I think you look amazing :smileyhappy: Good luck!!

Ash - I'm sorry the home stretch is such crap for you! Hopefully the little boy decides to put in an early appearance. Teddy seems like such a busy, awesome little kid, but I'm sure right now it'd be nice to put him in slow-mo for a couple weeks so you can lay down!

People can be such jerks. I mean for God's sake, you're a tiny gal with a big belly, so the f what?? Would people feel better about it if your face was all blown up or you were fat everywhere? You look beautiful in the pic you posted, try not to let people get under your skin. I know it's easier said than done. All I've heard my whole pregnancy so far is how good I look, how small I'm carrying, how I haven't gained anywhere but in my belly, etc. yet there is one woman from another dept. at work who lately will look at me with super wide eyes when I see her in the halls or elevator and go, "HOW much longer do you have???" and then cluck and shake her head as if there's no way I'm going to make it. Like she thinks I'm going to pop any second.....at 31 weeks.....while I'm still able to wear a lot of my pre-preg shirts. It's only one person, and I know she's full of sh*t, but I still want to choke the life out of her!!!

Jess - Sorry about the heartburn. I'm starting to find that some nights when I wake up to pee at ~3am, I have it. I've been popping a couple Tums so I can go back to sleep. My sister spent the last 3 weeks of her pregnancy sleeping in a recliner because if she laid down she'd literally choke on stomach acid....so I'm really hoping mine doesn't get that bad. How cute that Gabby sings to your belly and the baby responds! Precious. And really funny that she woke her up with yelling!

Liz - That sucks about the pain in your stomach. I'm glad it's nothing really serious, but hearing that there's nothing you do can do to relieve it now is beat. And the BH contractions - ugh. I had some last weekend, totally overdid it on Sunday painting and doing a bunch of stuff at my parents' house. I hope yours chill out and you don't have to have so many for the next 8+ weeks!

Ruby - Getting back in the saddle, so to speak, is definitely a priority of mine too. I hope we get into a new normal fairly quickly after the birth. I don't mind if it's less frequent than before the baby, and I'm sure it will be for quite some time, but I definitely hope it's often enough to feel connected and like my husband isn't just my roommate!

I'm 31+ weeks pregnant, with a baby kicking my ribs, and STILL can't believe I'm pregnant. Hahaha. The early days are so wild, when you know, rationally you saw the positive test but otherwise feel pretty normal and are like IS THIS FOR REAL? I love that you told your hair dresser already. :smileyhappy: You'll have to post a pic of Maxim's big brother shirt when you get it - it sounds super cute!

Jules - I'm sorry about the kidney infection. Ugh! And to be sick in this super hot summer had to be just extra terrible. Glad it's cleared up and you can enjoy the next few weeks with the kids. It's amazing to me that everyone is gearing up for the last few weeks of summer, back to school, etc. This summer has flown by!

Shawn - I haven't been great about posting either lately. Work is SO busy and when I get home I'm shot and find that I'm not spending as much time on the internet. I just started noticing BH cx last weekend, they aren't that fun! Hope your glucose test goes well today. And yes, my shower is next Saturday! I'm really looking forward to it.

CassieJune - I hope all of your symptoms disappear without the abx and you have no morning sickness!! :smileyhappy:

Amy - *waving* Hope you're doing well.

Cheryl - How did your glucose test go?

Erin - About your lack of symptoms - I don't think mine started for a few weeks.  I never got terrible morning sickness or anyhing.  I was just queasy on and off, all day long for several weeks.  And the smell of some things overwhelmed me from time to time.  But honestly, I think I only threw up a time or two and it was from me gagging myself brushing my teeth.  My t*ts though - good lord!  I had what I like to call "fork boob" for the first trimester....probably into the second as well.  Besides general, overall soreness I'd get these stabbing pains here and there that fel like someone was stabbing me with....a fork.  Hahaha.  It was terrible!  Also, the fatigue for me was pretty intense.  For weeks on end I was going to bed by 7pm and barely slogging through work.  That was the worst, by far.  I hope you have an easy 1T!

If I missed anyone - I'm so sorry, but I need to get a damn shower and get out of the house!! Hahaha. Hope everyone is doing well right now.

AFM - Just really busy lately. Work is usually so, so quiet in July and August but it hasn't been this year at all. I've been slammed with research assignments and various other things, so it's been kind of overwhelming at times. Pregnancy-wise things are clicking along pretty nicely. Sleep is getting more uncomfortable, but it's not too bad yet. Especially if I can keep a pillow between my knees for most of the night.

Our baby shower is next Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it! We're having a big bbq/pool party at my parents' house and I think it'll be a blast. I can't wait to start organizing some baby stuff too. I think I'll feel a little more settled when I feel like our condo is a bit more set up for his arrival. It's starting to hit me that I will have a BABY here in two months (edd is two months from today) and it's alternately exciting as hell and terrifying!!

Donny is off the chain cute right now. He is so excited he can barely stand himself. He talks to the baby every night about his day and tries to have a hand on my belly at all times so he doesn't miss kicks. Every time he pops into a TJ Maxx or Old Navy or something to pick anything up for himself, he comes home with onesies or various other little baby things. It's so fun to see him like this.

Erin - I am so sorry that you have to deal with all this drama at the doctors office and work. Thats no fun and you so shouldn't have to deal with it!

I was totally going to write some more stuff and apparently pregnancy brain has hit and I forgot.

and I was wondering about Elyse too, I hope everything is okay.

I attached a pic from last week my 25 week pic. :smileyhappy:

Erin- so sorry you have to deal with that. I would not have put up with that I would have switched offices but that's just me. Anyway good luck and hope they are better about it and you don't have to swtich.

Jessica- cute picture. I saw it on facebook and so cute. The one thing I want to get done is professional maternity photos done with David and me pregnant. I've seen them done before and I regret not doing them with David.

Ash- so sorry about all the comments. People just don't know when not to say things. I was lucky in that matter no one ever said anything to me when I was pregnant with David.

We are on pins and needles about my husband's job. He was supposed to have a meeting with the vice president today and he was sick so it's posponed until tomorrow. We will find out if he will still have his job here or how much longer he has or what since he is not taking either of the other jobs. We are hoping that he will still be able to keep his current job as his boss hasn't said anything about him leaving if he doesn't take it. It was corporate which wanted it but his boss is the one who makes the decisions not corporate. So we'll see.  I updated in the thread above. it's not worth it financially, me moving pregnant, the loss of my income for his new job which wouldn't be enough to compensate and then the loss we would have to take on the house. Plus the cities there isn't much promise for growth if he wanted to do something else.  If they were bigger cities and a lot more money we would have probably considered it.

So tomorrow I was planning on taking David to the waterpark one last time and it's supposed to be 73 here. It's been hot all summer and I plan this and it's going to be too cool to go. So we're going to go Saturday instead as it's supposed to be 80. So now I have a day with him as I told his daycare we were going originally so I have to figure out what to do. Maybe go to the park since it's supposed to be not too hot or something like that.

Ash - vacation was fine.  As usual, goes too quick!  I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable :smileysad:  I hope your instincts are correct and baby decides to come a little early!

Cassie - sorry about the UTI.  No fun!  Hope the antibiotic did the trick and all the nasty "side effects" were from them :smileyhappy:

Jamie - yay for baby shower!!!  It's so nice to be done with it and then be able to really go through things and feel like you'r a little more prepared.

Erin - I think that's a good plan.  How frustrating to have a doctor you like and have to deal with a witch of a secretary.  I would defintiely tell the doctor.  Is I was the doctor and found out that one of my patients was considering leaving my practice because of a receptionist we would have a major problem!  I would definitely call again, and keep calling until she gives you a darn appt!  I'm sorry about the crappy work situation :smileysad:

Jessica - cute picture!!!

Sandy - good luck with the job stuff.  That is so frustrating/stressful.  Hang in there, hope it all goes your way!

AFM - Had my glucose test this morning.  Glucose test came back fine but my hempglobin is low, so it looks like I'm anemic again.  Have to start iron supplements.  This is so not going to help my digestive issues!  I have another ultrasound in 4 weeks to check the placenta.  It seems like it's going so fast now!

Shawn- I have low iron too- everytime I stop taking the pills for a few days (due to the less then desirable stomach issues) it shows up right away in blood tests so my doctor said I really have to stick with them- sorry you are in the same boat! I'm glad the vacation was good, even if it was too short.

Erin- Your doctor's office sounds really terrible but I can understand being hesitant to switch, especially when you don't have tons to choose from. I hope everything at work goes OK with your boss!

Sandy- I hope everything works out with DH and work.

Jaime- Donny sounds adorable:smileyhappy: I bet your baby shower is going to be so much fun! I can understand why you are really looking forward to it! That woman from your office sounds ridiculous.

Cassie- The first trimester was when Teddy got the most TV time, I was just SO exhausted that I literally couldn't keep my eyes open in the afternoon. Then in the 2nd trimester I was back to normal and he barely got any, and now I am nearing the end so I try not to feel too guilty about it. We still get outside everyday and do a lot of fun stuff together. I hope most of the sickness was coming from your UTI meds!

Jess- Great pic!

AFM- Tomorrow is my facial and pedicure 3 hours of pampering and I can't wait. DH is out of town for work until tomorrow afternoon but thankfully Teddy is going to his cousin's house for my appt. Then in the evening DH and I are going out, very happy to have some nice things planned. I'm feeling pretty OK. Yesterday at my birth course ( I'm taking an 8 hour refresher for 2nd+ time moms over 4 weeks) we went over some birth positions again which was fun and it brought back memories from Teddy's birth:smileyhappy: Although one of the woman mentioned that my stomach was really unique (HAHA) it didn't bother me. It really does look like I just shoved a basketball under my shirt as instead of taking up a lot of room all over my stomach it just sticks straight out (as she told me LOL). The comments don't make me angry but I just don't have anything to say to them you know? I also find it very obnoxious to ask people when they are due (if you don't know them) I always just say sometime in August which also pisses people off HAHA. Even my mom was like can't your doctor tell you when the baby is coming? (My mom is a nurse and should know better!) and I was like NO due dates are estimated averages based off statistics that aren't even that reliable due to how they are calculated they don't really mean anything. This time around we really didn't tell anyone a due date, just said the end of August/ begining of September. That way we can't get any calls asking if the baby has come yet :smileyvery-happy:

Ash, I always felt the same way about due dates. I usually said some time in July for #2 and late June or early July for Charlotte. And you're right...it drove people crazy. What is the big deal about a due date? I would think that any woman who ever gave birth would understand the unreliability of them. Weird...

Erin- I hope it went well telling the parents.

David and I had a pretty good day. It was almost cold we wore jeans and I wish I had brought a jacket. We went to a consignment sale and I came out with 3 maternity tops. Nothing for David. they didn't have much there for him. Then we went to the playground for a little and then we went to Pizza hut for lunch. came home and napped and then he just played afterwards. So it was a fun day. Tomorrow we are going to a pancake breakfast at the regional airport which I am sure he will enjoy to see all the planes.they are just small planes. It is going to be warmer tomorrow but still not warm enough for the waterpark. We're hoping next weekend will be warmer so far the forecast calls for the 80's. I guess I should have gone a few weeks ago when it was beastly hot but based on the summer we have had I wasn't to worried about it being too cold.

All those wondering about Amy wasn't she supposed to move around now or am I wrong?
