I don't know how to get this started, so I'm sure someone can come by and fix my work :)

Jenny - Yes, I've been trying to avoid taking Prilosec, but it looks like I'm not going to have a choice before too long.

No peak until the Dr orders a new ultrasound. We discussed doing another u/s out of our pocket. But honestly, it's super expensive, and although we would like to k now the gender for sure, it's not a matter of life and death anymore.

So a little update from me... I've been having a rough couple of days lately. (mostly TMI following) First of all, I've always been on the side of "constipation" as far as BM go. But with this pregnancy things have reached a ridiculous point! I'm going every 4 days!!!! So far I managed to help it with diet (and believe me, I've tried everything!!!!!). Well, last week I had my last BM on monday... and then nothing.... By saturday I felt horrible. Plus I had been eating so much fiber to help things along... and I think it had begun to ferment (?) I felt like I was going to burst!!!!!! Anyways. On sunday I had it, and called my Dr. and told him I was desperate, so he finally caved in and prescribed me a mild laxative... I don't plan to make a habit out of it, but if I ever go over 5 days again, I will take it!!! Also, I've been "braxton-hickins" like nuts!! I keep trying to remember what it was like in my last pregnancy, but I can't remember... Some of those cx are even a tiny bit painful, but since those are rare and don't follow any kind of pattern, the Dr. still thinks it's not a matter of concern... yeah, well, but they freak me out anyways!! And last... I think I am leaking drops of pee.... disgusting, I know!!! Every few hours, I feel wet and when I go check there is a little drop of fluid, too clear to be CM... This has been going on for some weeks now, but yesterday a new idea hit me... "what if my water is leaking????" I started totally freaking out, thinking it could be amniotic fluid and that my baby could get an infection. MIL realized something was wrong (I have a glass face like they say), and I finally gathered the courage to tell her my fears (both the cx and the leaks). DH came in in the middle of the story and got really upset that I had been holding all those worries inside and demanded that I called the OB immediately. So I did... but after going over charming characteristics like smell, color, amount of liquid and frequency, he said it is just little drops of urine... Besides it has been going on for several weeks and the baby showed no signs of anything wrong in the last u/s. It is a huge relief, but it also makes me feel really embarrased!!!!! And of course I probably just won the award for most annoying patient in the world, calling the Dr. twice during a weekend to ask about body fluids.... I really don't know why I am so anxious this time around... last time it was my first pregnancy and I was way more relaxed about everything!!!

Good news! I had my appointment/counseltation today with the new doctor, and she was soooo great!!!! I am so relieved/happy. She answered the questions I had with patience, seems sympathetic, has one new baby herself (8 mos) and is just a better fit for me personality wise. I am so glad that DH likes her too. I have my first real appointment with her on Janauary 3rd and the good news is we still get to go to the same ultrasound office we do now with the people we like yay!

Also, she let us take a peek at baby on the ultrasound machine because she wanted to check the heartbeat Smile It was so great to see and hear!!!
