Thanks Natalie... It does make me feel better, because I was getting seriously freaked out!! Ash- I'll have to look in drugstores about those things you reccomend. I'm not sure if I will find them, some things that are common in europe and North America are unheard of around here (baby swaddling fi.) But I will definitely try! If not, at least I can try cleaning, walking and DTD, right??? :)

Katja - Ticker updated!

Natalie - So excited for you! I was due on 2/21 and Selin came on the 22nd. One nice thing about that date is that her birthday is right around Presidents' Day so it makes birthday parties easier since it's a long weekend for most people. :-)

Anna – It would be fun for Teddy and this baby to share a bday, but I really don’t want to go late!

How many weeks are you? 37w5d

Any exciting dates/appointments this month? My due date - Feb 19!

For those of use that are getting close:

Have you had any "progress" in regards to effacement/dilation? Not really in effacement (I'm still "thick", according to my midwife), 2 cm dilated.

Do you feel like you will go early or late? I still feel like I will go a little early, but not much.

P.S. I should add that I do believe that the borage oil capsules are what finally got labor started for me at 41 weeks - I didn't start taking them until the middle of week 40. This time I will start at 39 weeks :) I had to get them at the pharmacy here but in the States you can get them at a health store- not sure how it is for you. They are also pretty cheap.

I totally understand what you mean Mari :)

Remember the ultrasound might be a bit off about the size of the baby. One thing you might consider is starting to take evening primrose oil or borage oil capsules once you hit 38 weeks. They help to get your cervix ready for labor (although they won't do anything if your body really isn't ready yet) and can help start things up if you want to make sure the baby doesn't take too long coming :)

Personally I am totally against induction if it can be avoided because I think it is one of the quickest ways to end up with a C-section but I also understand not wanting to have a baby that is too big. Although really unless you have pregnancy diabetes (which you don't :D) the chances that you make a baby too big for you to actually have vaginally are so so so low!
