Ruthie - I really know how you feel, I *still* get hurt sometimes thinking about how I didn't have a bridal shower EIGHT years ago! Lol. My baby shower meant the world to me. If I were you, I would even consider throwing your own party, kinda like a housewarming, but more of a baby welcoming (it could be before or after the baby's here, although I think it's kinda nice to do it beforehand so you don't have a newborn interrupting the fun to take care of.

Ash- I just want to say that I only get one u/s (for now) from the doctor, but I opted for the 1st tri screening mostly because I get an u/s. Now I get to see baby twice and maybe even get a sneak peek of pink or blue. I only got two u/s with William because I had partial placenta previa at my 18 wk u/s that they did another at 26 wks to check if the placenta had shifted.

Ruthie- I have to agree with everyone else on having a baby shower. My mom technically threw my shower; although she did have some help from a few friends.

Natalie- I sure hope baby stays head down for you.

As for big babies, if William hadn't been 2 wks early, I can't imagine what he would have weighed. He was 8lbs 0oz and may have been 10 if I didn't go early. I also hope for a smaller second baby. He got it from DH who was 9lbs 10 oz when born while I was only 6lbs 6oz. I sure hope that the next one takes after me or at least comes early again...

AFM- I have my 1st tri screening on Wed (YAY for the the first view of baby)!! I am feeling better and the energy is coming back although I get winded quickly.

I think that is a great idea. And I'm sure that shower or not, your mom will find a way to do something special with you!

To all of you who asked in this thread and others... I can't believe I'm 32 weeks either!! LOL!!! Tomorrow I have another u/s, and we'll see if I can get rid of the green and go for pink or blue!! Also, and more important, I want to know if the baby is still head down... It feels different than my pgcy with Fede, so sometimes I fear the baby is sitting or breach.... Oh! Also, I got my gestational diabetes and thyroid results back, and they are perfect!! yay!!!

Mari-So boy or girl?????

AFM: I had my ultrasound appt on Tuesday and it went great. Unfortunately we didn't get an awesome side profile pic like last time, instead got two alien gummy bear pics but during the actual ultrasound we were able to see the arms, legs, heart, back, and everything looked great!

It is so funny how different this pregnancy is then the last. Not in terms of symptoms but just in terms of how I am dealing with it. Like I have absolutely no interest in reading pregnancy books, posting on a pregnancy forum other then this, planning or thinking about the birth, etc. In fact at my appt on Tuesday I asked if I could go 10 weeks till the next one, at which point my doctor was like no you have to come every 4 weeks, which is fine of course, but I just am not worrying or stressing at all this time which is really nice.

I also am planning as many trips and getaways and events as we can possibly fit in (some alone, some just with Teddy, some with DH, some with friends) because I just remember the first months sucking so hard with Teddy LOL. I also haven't been interested in buying anything yet although I am sure this will change once it feels closer.

Although I did already buy a double stroller but only because Target is having such a good sale on baby stuff right now! ;) I wanted a double which can also be used as a single since I don't think Teddy will use the stroller for more then a year after the baby comes and ended up going for the britax b ready- I'm so excited to see it! Of course this doesn't mean I am giving up my emmaljunga or baby jogger either much to the chagrin of DH :D :D

Hi ladies :)

Nope, not pregnant again (yet) but wanted to ask you all for a little help with something! I explained the (looong) version in the TTC thread, but short story is that I enetered a contest (through facebook). I'm currently in second place, but falling behind and need help! I'm going to send a link through a pm (it goes to our picture and I don't really want to put that on here). If you're on facebook and could take a really quick minute to vote I would really appreciate it!!

I hope you're all doing well!! I think about you all often, just can't get myself to keep up with this thread yet. I hope you understand. I'm so happy for all of you, and hope to join you again soon :)
