Shawn - Congrats on your BFP! Hope you get great numbers tomorrow.
Ruthie - It is never too late to switch providers! I switched at 31 weeks and am so glad we did. Of course we were switching from a HB MW to a hospital ME but still, I would've switched either way because we just were not cloning with the first MW and she made a comment about my weight gain that pushed me over the edge and I found someone else that same day. I hope the new OB will be more sensitive to your desires.
Oh and we did not do CBB and just waited for the cord to stop pulsing. They also did everything to Selin while she was still on my chest and told me "let u know when we can take her" and I loved that! I got to spend precious time with my new baby without anyone whisking her away from me unnecessarily.
Glad your mom has been there to help you and yay for finding a doula you like! :-)
Jules - Honestly! Any mamas who feel done having children or any new mamas who aren't ready for another better watch themselves! There is a boom going on!
Ruthie - I think you're smart for switching. Being condescended to and not taken seriously is very upsetting. You want to be comfortable going into your birth and feeling like you can trust the medical personnel. Hopefully you can switch to the female ob-gyn without any issues. Good luck!
Ruthie...listen to those red flags!!! Follow your instincts. Your OB doesn't seem to lining up with you.
Ladies, I didn't think this was possible yet, but my sister's baby shower plus this amazing baby boom has given me baby fever. I really thought I might be done...but maybe not...
Got my first betas back this morning. HCG is 86 (13 dpo) and progesterone is 36 (she wanted it to be over 25). I'm glad the progesterone is high enough. With the number being 36 I'm SOOO glad I'm on the supplements. Can't imagine what it would be if I wasn't on them! Last time it started at 31, dropped to 22 then when I had the spotting it was down in the teens. Now, he just need that hcg to double....
Shawn--Great numbers! I have a good feeling for you!
Katja--I wouldn't worry about the measurements. Peter consistently measured "big" and was an average baby.
Jenny--That sounds like fluid. And the next appointment may show that you haven't gained anything. I always gained in spurts.
AFM--WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT! I finally had my first appointment, and she cautioned me that I'm right on the cusp of when we could expect to hear it. Thank goodness she found it. I may have gone off the deep end otherwise.
I was strongly encouraged to work on gaining more weight this pg, and to take the meds if I need them. I figure I just throw up a couple times a day, but I'm hydrated and feel ok, so I don't need them. I keep most things down. Otherwise, everything looked good. Next appointment is next month and will be the vaginal exam and pap.
