Izzie is loving the decorations! She keeps telling me that there are holes in the tree and that we need more ornaments. I took her to walmart and bought a few cheapies for her. She takes them on and off- like they are her toys. I had a trip to the ER last night :-( I had some really strange symtptoms. First I couldnt see (spinning and bright lights and blurry vision) and then I had my left arm go completely numb then my left side of my face lips and tounge went numb. I freaked out and went to the ER. (and let me tell you I HATE the ER and avoid it like the plague!) It was VERY scary! But they eventually said that it was miagrane with nuerological affects (the numbness and vision stuff). They cant look into it much furth since they said normally they with do a CAT scan but while pregnant that isnt possible. They listened to the baby on the doppler and DH was there and got to hear it. :- ) He joked that it was a $100 heartbeat (cause that is our copay for ER trips). Today I headed to my OB and she checked me out and was very happy with my BP. She said she couldnt tell me why the Miagrane happened or if it would happen again. And that I can not take anything for it (other than tylenol). I go back in 3 weeks. Then that following friday is my gender ultrasound that we are doing at the 3D place. :-) Oh and I am down another 3 1/2 lbs. This is with turkey day....which I thought for sure I would gain from. :-)

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't been able to update, it takes about 8 years for the site to load on my phone. The quick version: baby Stella arrived November 20th via repeat c-section. She was 7 lbs. 3 oz, 19 inches. Nursing is going well and DS is adjusting fairly well, although he definitely has his challenging moments. Good luck Em and congrats to all the new BFPs. I will update more when I get a chance!

Congrats to Jules and Shawn on their little girls!! Can't wait to read the birth stories!!

Em - You're next! ;-)

Alison - Bummer on the cruise offerings but hoping they'll come up with something for you soon! Resale shopping was a huge success! I got three Target maternity shirts WITH TAGS for just $2.99/each! No luck on pants but got a few things for Selin. Oh and my SIL found a brand new Bravado nursing bra again with tags still on in a $1.49 bin!! And it fit me, I couldn't believe my luck! I told my SIL I'm taking her shopping with me from now on, lol. Oh and I totally feel your pain re: eating habits and weight gain. I am technically overweight and am a few pounds heavier than I was when I got PG with Selin but I'm done stressing about it. So far I've gained 5 pounds this pregnancy and just hoping to keep it around 35lbs like I did last time. Thankfully my MW does not stress about weight gain as long as it's reasonable so I don't have to worry about getting a lecture from her. The 1T is all about survival mode and stomaching whatever you can! ;-)

Mandy - Selin is taking the low hanging ornaments off our tree too and it's driving me nuts!! So glad you're ok. Migraines are scary stuff but good thing you got checked out just in case.

AFM - I apologize for being such a whiner lately but nausea has decided to come back in full force like when it arrived two weeks ago. Totally not cool! I was so sick yesterday and on the verge of puking. Was praying I would be better today but nope, so had to suffer at work as well. WTF? And just when I thought I had it all figured out. Guess I jinxed myself. :-(

Oh pregnancy is ALL ABOUT complaining hehe! We go through so much! So complain away Christine!! hehe! I only put the large non breakable ones on the bottom of the tree this year. And none of our super special ones are even out. ;-) I dont want to even chance it. I am super bummed I bought an elf on the shelf last year after christmas on clearance in hopes of having fun with it this year and I cant find it anywhere. Since all the Christmas stuff was packed away and in the attic I am sure I put it somewhere 'SAFE' but I have yet to find last years safe place ;/ Hopefully I can find it soon!! I went back to work today. And it knocked me on my butt! I have been so exausted all day. Luckily my dad picked up Izzie again and still has her so that helps me a little.

Hi girls! I hate when I fall behind on the thread! Trying to catch up ...

I hope everyone in the US had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine was good, DH survived Black Friday weekend at work, and I helped my in-laws find and buy a house only 15 minutes away from our apartment! Phew!

Thanks to everyone who shared thoughts on gender disappointment. I'm starting to feel more excited about having a son. My sister is talking about planning a superhero themed baby shower and that sounds so fun! :) My DH is big into Batman, the Hulk, etc. so he will love it.

CassieJune - congrats on your baby GIRL! Yay :)

Jules - congrats on the birth of baby Izzie! :)

Shawn - congrats on the birth of baby Stella! :)

Em - good luck to you! Can't wait to hear your news!!

All the early pregnant ladies - hope you're feeling well!

AFM - had an appointment yesterday (wednesday). My blood pressure, urine and weight are all good. I have gained 11 lbs total so far (I'm almost 21 weeks). Baby is looking perfectly healthy according to the ultrasound. He is measuring ahead a little, but not enough to change my due date. DH keeps saying it's going to be a big baby, but I hope he's wrong!!
The bad news is I am having gallbladder issues. :( I was having occassional pain for a while, that eventually turned into every day, after every meal pain that started to turn pretty severe and long lasting. :( My Dr. says it's my gallbladder. I have to track what I am eating, search for trigger foods and avoid anything high fat (or any fat at all right now actually). :( I do eat pretty healthy already at home, but we have been indulging in eating out WAY too much lately. Thanksgiving was full of unhealthy foods of course, and my in laws took me out to eat while they were here too. The fun is over! No more eating out. I'm scared of getting my gallbladder removed, so I want to avoid that at all costs.
I ate super carefully yesterday, but the area of my gallbladder is still really sore to the touch and swollen. :(

Hope everyone has a nice Thursday! Sorry if I missed anything or anyone! I was too behind! :)

Mandy - glad Izzie liked the decorations.  :)  can't wait til next year when xmas has a whole new feeling for our family!   the migraine sounds SO scary!!  have you had any more symptoms?

Shawn - welcome back and congratulations & welcome little Stella!!!

Christine - we decided to go with a travel agent for our flights & insurance, and she's going to send us some private tour group recommendations. as long as i can cross the bosphorous so i can say i've been to asia, i'll be happy!  :P  whoo-hoo on your shopping!!  target canada is coming soon and i hope our deals will be just as good! (i refuse to go to walmart.)   sorry about the ongoing nausea. i'm with ya.  :(

Erin - wow, what good luck on the apartment being so close!  i'm glad you're getting excited about team blue.  :)  i have zero advice about the gallbladder but i hope it's manageable and you're feeling better soon.

AFM - no news pregnancy wise, but i'm terrified for my girlfriend. her niece has had seizures her entire life (not epilepsy but they don't know the cause) and last week was her biggest yet. she's STILL unconscious and the doctor says he's "disheartened" and "not optomistic".  i'm SURE she'll pull out but it's so frustrating that they don't know anything so they can't treat her!!!!!  so please send any prayers/healthy vibes you can!

Sorry It's been so long work is taking a lot out of me and my 30 minute commute home everyday and then getting David and dinner ready doesn't leave for much time.

Erin- Sorry about the gallbladder issues. As far as boys I love having a boy. I'm scared I won't know what to do with a girl.

Mandy- we did that last year with the decorations but David is old enough this year that he hasn't messed with them and he understands what breakable means. So we don't have a lobsided tree like last year.

David's 3rd birthday party is this weekend. We are having a few people over not a big party. His daycare girl and her two kids and then friends from church. It's his 3rd party since we had two parties already with the grandparents in Ohio for Thanksgiving. But I wanted to do something.

Then I just booked our reservation at the hotel for our night away. I am so happy we will be able to have one night away without David before the baby arrives and my dad paid for it all for a Christmas gift. The hotel, sitter, dinner ect. Otherwise we wouldn't have not been able to afford it especially the sitter. Our 10th anniversary was in June so I guess it could be a late anniversary weekend away.

Anyway hope everyone has a great weekend.

Shawn & Jules – congrats on the birth of your babies! Hope you’re enjoying the newborn phase.

Christine – sorry you’re feeling so bad lately. Hopefully it lets up soon.

Erin – glad you’re getting excited about having a boy. The superhero theme shower sounds like fun. So sorry to hear about your gallbladder issues. Keep us posted!

Alison – sorry to hear about what your friend is going through. Sounds so scary. Lots of positive thoughts to her.

Sandy – your night away sound divine! Have fun!!

*waving "hi" to everyone else!*

AFM – not great news on my end. I had an u/s yesterday and the tech (who’s been doing this for 38 years) was concerned at how small the baby was measuring. There was a heartbeat though, so I guess that’s the good news. I’ll hear more today, but I’m not overly optimistic about things given my history. Please send any positive thoughts you can spare.
