Hi everyone!! I got my BFP and am joining you ladies in the pregnancy chat!! Omg, I can't believe i'm saying that! This will be #3 for us and our kids are both very excited about it although the littlest one, DD Mackenzie , doesn't know what's coming really!

I worked out with my last pregnancy to try to not gain too much weight and be healthier and it worked so i'm probably going to start doing that again. I'm naturally pretty thin but gain weight like crazy when i'm pregnant- about 60 with my first!! I'm so grateful to finally have a pregnancy that will go through the winter instead of the hot Texas summers like my last two kids!! It will be different, and lots of fun!! It will definitely be easier to get exercise without 100 degree heat!

I have had really bad morning sickness (throwing up throughout the night even!!) and my doctor put me on Zofram to help and set up an early sonogram to figure out the dates just in case i'm further along than I think but I don't see how that's possible since I took a test a week ago that was negative! My grandma thinks i'm having twins, but my neighbor told me she was sick really early with her third too. We will see I guess! Twins run in my family and would be fun but 1 baby would definitely be enough for now!!

Sarah - I'm so glad you posted about your maternity clothes fitting - I'm already snug in my jeans and I'm thinking its only going to be a matter of a couple of weeks before I bust out my maternity gear.

Kate - so exciting that you can schedule birthing classes - it makes it all seem a little more real!

Meagan - Congratulations (again)! That would be crazy if your grandma was right about twins - can't wait to hear the results of the u/s! Hope your m/s isn't too terrible.

AFM, I'm just kickin' it. I'm still feeling kind of gross at times throughout the day and am having a real hard time with drinking water (the thought makes me ill). I'm trying all kinds of creative ways to drink it but it is only making it slightly more tolerable. As I mentioned above, my pants are already tight and I'm just hoping I can announce my pregnancy before people notice! My parents will be

Meagan - congratulations!!!! H&H 9 months to you!! Sorry that your m/s is so bad already. I started feeling ill at 3 DPO with this pregnancy. Thankfully, it eased off at about 9 weeks.

Lisa - I hear you on the water thing. I had a super hard time drinking plain water in the 1T too. Not sure if you've tried it, but what worked for me was drinking Gatorade mixed with water (about 1/2 and 1/2). It gave the water some much needed flavor and calories.

Alyssa--Good luck with your GTT!! The aquafit class sounds so fun! I wonder if there is anything like that at our town gym . . . It would be really nice to meet some other local people who are pregnant, seeing as none of our friends have kids (or are anywhere near having them).

Oh yeah and the heat has been killing me here too, but it also was rainy and cooler today, which was a huge relief. I fell asleep on the couch yesterday and woke up drenched in sweat, it was horrid.

Sarah--Sounds like a good timeline for telling your parents and inlaws! That is funny about the maternity clothes. I think I got my first batch around 15 weeks but I probably could have worn them by 10 weeks. I HATE the feeling of something pressing on my stomach, though, so for me they were just way more comfy than trying to cram into my pants.

And yeah, my cat turned up! I actually locked him in the house today because sometimes he just gets too dissociated from us and I like to remind him that he likes being home, too. He was a barn cat before we got him so he's used to being outside and on his own, and sometimes I think he just plain forgets that he loves us. But once he is here and forced to spend time with us, he does actually enjoy it immensely. ;-)

Meagan--Congrats on your BFP!! That is so exciting!! If you give me an idea of when your EDD is, I'll add you to the front page! It seems like people seem to graduate in groups from the TTCing thread--hopefully this is the real thing for Kate as well!

I can't believe you already have m/s--how awful!! Hopefully the Zofran works well to help you manage it.

If you want to participate in the "kid" thread as well so you can chat about your older two, let me know and I can add you to the front page there as well.

Lisa--Wow that sucks you are having a hard time drinking water. Water is my everything, LOL--I have actually been REALLY craving it this week--and not just because of the heat, I don't think.

Hopefully you can hide the bump until you are ready to tell everyone!!

AFM--My cousin who lives on Long Island is having a party on Sunday, so we're looking forward to that (though it is about a 2.5-3 hour drive, which I am NOT looking forward to). Maybe we'll go to my parents house on Saturday--that's halfway so it would be slightly more tolerable.

Anyone else have any fun Labor Day plans?

In other news, Lil' James had the hiccups today! It was the first time I felt sure that was what I was feeling, since it was at such regular intervals and for a long time.

And I keep bumping into things with my stomach. I just have noticed this over the last couple of days. Today I really hit myself on the edge of the grocery cart and I hope I didn't do any major damage to Lil' James. :-/

Last but not least (TMI), I can't see my vagina. Not even when I pull up my stomach and try to see under it. :-/ I looked at it with a mirror the other day and it looked very weird and swollen. I'm sure it will get even weirder after I push a baby through it.

Adrienne, I'm so glad that your cat came back! Yay! Double yay for passing your GTT! I'm sure it's crazy with the belly growing so big. Can't wait till I'm there! Time for an updated belly pic!

Meagan, congrats!

Alyssa, good luck with your GTT. I hope everything turns out well. That class sounds nice. I want to find something good for me to go to.

Sarah, I think your timeline for telling sounds good. I've told quite a few people already, but am not going to 'go public' until after 9/16 (back to school night)

Lisa, I hope you can find some liquids to help keep you hydrated!

Hi to everyone else!

I haven't started the maternity clothes yet, but will probably need to next week. I got a few dresses over the summer that are very flowy, so that has been working. What I find so strange though, is that even though I am 20 pounds lighter than I was at this time a year ago, pants and capris that I wore a year ago don't fit. They did a week ago, but I tried today, and not so much! I still haven't gained any weight, but apparently I've gained girth!

My 25 first graders are wearing me out! They are pretty low academically and I have a lot of attention issues. It's gonna be a long year till March!

So we may end up telling my in-laws a bit before we were planning on telling everyone. Apparently they are thinking about going to India in 2011, for 4 weeks, mid March to mid April! Hmm for some reason that seems like a bad time to DH me. Especially since they are plan A for who will stay with Desmond and Eloise when I go into labor. So we probably need to mention I'm pregnant soon so that they don't book airline tickets or such before we tell them. We figure they will probably delay the trip either to fall, or till the following year, but we figure even if they don't delay they should know before they book.

If they don't delay the trip I can get my brother and sister in law to come up and stay with Desmond and Eloise or one of my 2 cousins that lives in the area, but they all live further away and Desmond and Eloise don't know them as well, especially my cousins, whereas they see their Grandparents almost weekly. I'm still debating if we tell them this coming weekend or the following though.

Sarah - Wow... what news about their trip, and strange timing. I hope everything works out for you and them. GL telling them the news, and I hope sitter plans for the older kids works out well for you.

I am a little nervous about having Ray watched when I go into labor. We know my parents are going to watch him... but they live 40 minutes away, and our hospital is 40 minutes in a different direction as well. I guess if it happens overnight or during non-school hours they will have to meet us at the hospital to pick him up. So not ideal. We do have some friends closer, who we could drop him off w/ in case of emergency.

Amber - It's good to see you. Wishing you all the best for a safe and healthy L&D. You look positively glowing in your picture BTW.

Lisa - Feel better soon. The gross feeling stage is the worse.

Adrienne - I remember when Ray had hiccups while I was PG... It was pretty much a daily occurrence with him. I can't wait till I feel this one moving around more constantly.

How was Long Island? I went to college down there... haven't been back (aside from a wedding) in almost 11 years.

Emmy - Sorry your students are so challenging this year. Do you work in special class, or is it just this years mix?

AFM - My mom is totally freaking out about us not finding out the sex of the baby. She doesn't seem to grasp the concept of "great job with crappy insurance". I think she thinks we're doing this to torture her. Which makes it all the more fun for me. :-)

We celebrated DH's birthday yesterday with an un-birthday BBQ at the house. We had a great time w/ family and friends. And the best part is I left the mess for him to clean today!!!
