Ella - Yay for nip pain! LOL. I mean not really, but symptoms are nice in the early days. I'm sorry nursing is getting really painful though. Do you think Eliza will be as interested if your supply tanks because of the pregnancy? Maybe weaning will be a bit easier than you think. I hope so, or hope that the nursing gets more comfortable again for you.

AFM - Appt. went well on Friday. My bp was 118/88 and normally it's higher in the office (part white coat syndrome and part getting dressed, getting out of the house, driving there, etc. it's a lot of activity for me these days!) The doctor was really pleased. The baby looked great on the u/s. Practice breathing like a little fish. He's so crammed in there now, it's hard to see much these days!

I have another appt. today. BP check and NST. I lost a huge chunk of my mucus plug this morning. So gross! And kind of exciting. I know it can mean nothing, and at 36w6d, probably does mean nothing, but it's still nice to see "something" happening. Even if it's just my body slowly prepping, anything it's doing to get ready for labor is a good sign now. The doctor was open to letting me go past 39 weeks if my bp stays down, but if I do have to be induced, it'd be nice if things are brewing on their own so I have a decent chance of it not failing.

Jamie: So glad your appointment went well. I just realized today you and one of my girlfriends from college are due right around the same time. She's 37weeks and 3 days.... and it's her first as well. I feel like it's a race between you and her, LOL.

Ella--Nursing was super painful for me. I wound up completely weaning Peter from my right side, and only nursing on the left for naps/nights. He weaned when I was right around 26 weeks, though I had been completely dry for several months by that point. One night, he just said no thanks and rolled over. :smileysad:

I'm still not 100% ok with it...

Thanks Kate! Does she know if she's having a boy or a girl? It's so funny, I feel like everyone I went to high school with is having a baby right now. My whole newsfeed on FB is full of pregnancy announcements, birth announcements, etc. It's insane!

Julie - Glad the BP was down. Awesome on the MP I don't think I ever lost mine with Gabby and if I did I never saw it.

Ella - Yeah for the sore nips (you know what I mean). I did wean Gabby and it was because of that. At the time I got pregnant we were pretty much just nursing in the morning and before she went to bed (It seems so long ago and yet it was only like 4 months ago). I think she was almost 21 months at the time. I was just about 10 weeks or so, not very long. I just couldn't do it. In hindsight I probably should have stuck it out a little more since the sore nips went away, but even now sometimes they hurt. I just cut out the evening feeding. It was easy to do because DH was there to start putting her to bed (which helps now because we switch off). and then about a week or two later I cut out the morning feeding. I just subsituted Milk and food for her in the morning (at the time is was yogurt) and after a week she barely asked and then nothing and we have been fine ever since.

I do miss it but it was the right time for us. I also wanted her to be done with nursing because I was afraid (with her personality) that she would get jealous if I was nursing the baby and not her all of a sudden. We are doing the same thing with her room. I want her to realize her new room is her room so that she doesn't get pissed when the baby is sleeping in her crib.

Has anyone heard from Lorien? She is getting close to the end. I can't believe that so many of us are getting close to the end and that I only have 9 weeks left!

AFM - Here are pictures from our maternity shoot

There are only like 15 of them out, but soon there will be more. My best friend took them of us.

Hey Em - Glad you popped in! I can't believe you're 30 weeks!

Ruby - Sorry about the stomach issues. Ugh. Early pregnancy is just so beat. Yay for the ultrasound coming up soon. I love those early pics. The baby is so cute when s/he's like a little peanut with flippers. :smileyhappy: Enjoy!

My appt. was fantastic yesterday. BP was 122/81, and the baby looked great on the monitor. I was having contractions and they even got into a pattern for awhile, but petered out. Which is fine, I'm only 37 weeks, not expecting to go into labor anytime soon. I did lose a big chunk of the mucus plug though and a bit more today.

Also, the doctor checked my cervix and I'm a fingertip dilated, "very soft" and the cervix is in the mid-position. So, all positive stuff. No talk of induction because my bp has been behaving itself, but I'm happy to know my body is prepping itself already, in case an induction does end up being necessary.

Next appt. is Friday. BP check & a biophysical u/s. Hopefully things continue to go well and I can just go into labor naturally. We'll see. I'm just thankful this hasn't turned into pre-e and the bp has settled down. It seems like I just REALLY needed a break from my commute, work, rushing around so much, etc. I'm a very active person normally and take being super busy in stride. It didn't seem like my normal stuff was so taxing to me physically, but I guess it caused a lot more stress than I realized.

Hey, ladies!  I am going to just jump in here.  For anyone that I may have not "met," I'm Suzie.  I'm a teacher (Spanish, grades 3-5) and mommy to Greyson, age 2.5.

Name/SO Name:  Suzie and Joe

How many weeks are you?  I'm like a minute pregnant.  I'm guessing I'm 4 weeks, 3 days based on LMP

Any exciting dates/appointments this month?  Nothing until 10/17

Do you feel like you will go early or late?  Grey was early, so I'll guess early

How are you feeling physically?  Great for the most part!  A little tired and sometimes a little lightheaded.

How are you feeling emotionally?  Excited and yet apprehensive.

What's on your to-do list to get ready for baby this month?  Fully wrap my head around my new status.  :smileyhappy:

Do you know the gender yet? If not, are you thinking pink or blue?  Hoping for PINK!

**Have you had any cravings so far? Anything wild and out of the ordinary? :-)  Nope.

Question- I started running at the end of May.  I want to keep running and stay active.  I know its safe to continue to do so, but I'm not sure how do you know when to give your body a rest?  For me, I sometimes feel like quitting because I'm tired, but then can push myself another mile, but I certainly don't want to overdo it now that I know that baby is on board.

-Suzie :)

Suzie - OMG Congrats!! I am so excited for you! No advice on the running. I would just stop when you are tired or feel yourself getting slower you know? but I am sure others will have ideas.
