Jamie - Sorry you are on Bedrest, hopefully your reading will go better!

Erin - Re the peditrician: Some peditricians don't go out to all hospitals, so they want to know before you give birth who the peditrician is. Our peds office doesn't go out to our hospital, so we had the hospital peditrician check out Gabby after her birth and before she was allowed to be released. then we had a 1 week appointment with our peditrician and we will be doing the same thing again with this baby because they still don't go out to our hospital. ours is 30 minutes away. So depending on your OB/hospital they may have them out there already.
There are bunch of questions on the internet for what to ask when picking one, we got recommendations from friends and then ended up picking the place we felt most comfortable with. We have been SUPER lucky and are ALWAYS able to get a same day appointment with our ped. there have been like 2 times in 2 years where we couldn't and we just saw another ped there and loved them.....
AFM - I Have an appointment with my MW later today so I will update more then
E: I have a great link for interviewing peds and tips on how to find one that is "BF friendly". I'll dig it up and post it. I 2nd what Jess said about the peds/hospitals.
Shawn: such cute US pictures.
Ash - FERDI IS SO CUTE!!!
Erin - our family doc (we just use the same doc for our whole family - easier for us that way!) doesn't come to see babies in hospital, so the hospital pedi will be checking this baby out.
Sandy - I really should find a photog....I hope your the lady you found does an awesome job!!
Shawn - Love Reese. It's so cute and she is, too!
AFM - I have had a really strange week. DS managed to get hurt in football (shocker, I know) on Wednesday. We wound up at Urgent Care and they really felt like he had a fracture in his third metacarpal bone. So, we got a splint and a wrap and made an appointment with the bone and joint doc for today. I feel like I have been on my feet since that moment! That kid SERIOUSLY helps his momma out! Fortunately, he just has a thoroughly nasty bruise and will be released for all activities next Wednesday. This boy LOVES football and LOVES the challenge, so it's been a moody few days around here. I'm still so swollen. I can't tell you how ready I am for November!!
Jules - Happily married and Momma to DS, DD and expecting our Caboose Baby 11/24/2012
Thanks for all the support ladies! Had an appt. yesterday and things are ok. BP still high (but did drop somewhat after 10 min laying down in the office.) The doctor seemed fairly low key about it, but I have another appt. Monday and they are SERIOUS about the bedrest. I asked if I can do *anything*, like go to the library to pick up a book, or even eat lunch out after an appt. and got an emphatic "no." I'm to lay down and do nothing but lay down. I can't even do laundry or empty the dishwasher.
Reese and Stella are both so pretty, I'd have a hard time choosing as well. They're so different, maybe you will get that "ah ha" moment in the hospital when you see her, you know? It's not like you're hoping you'll be able to decide between something like Brittany and Tiffany based on seeing her!
I did a 24 hour urine collection jug (apparently more accurate for checking for protein than the spot check urine samples which so far have been clear for me) and brought that in, and I gave them another blood sample as well.
They're basically taking it really day-by-day at this point. As long as my bp stays borderline and no other signs of pre-e show up, I can go til 39 weeks. I think they're not happy that after three days of laying down my bp is still elevated, but I'm glad I have a reprieve until I'll at least pass the 36 weeks mark. I'll be 35w6d at my appt. Monday and unless it's an extreme medical emergency, there is no WAY I'm letting them induce me that day/Tues (Sept. 11)!!
The nice part of the appt. was the u/s. The baby looked great. He's still a little doll - u/s estimated 5lbs, 11oz, and the tech said it's likely he's more like 5lbs - 5.5lbs because the estimates are always high. He's head down and really low, which is good news. We couldn't really get any shots of his face, but we *did* get to see that he has hair!!!! <3 It was floating around his head like a little halo. I can't even stand how excited I am!! D and I wondered so much about that - I was a blonde peach fuzz baldie and he had a full head of dark hair when he was born, so we were just so excited to see if the baby had hair or was a baldie.
But finding out how tiny he still is really has me wanting to make it until at least 37 weeks. Fingers crossed my body cooperates. And that bedrest doesn't make me go completely friggin crazy! Laying around doing nothing is SO fun for like, an afternoon, but miserable for me already after four days.
Shawn - The u/s pics are so cute! Look at your little long-legged girl!
Cassie - So sorry you're feeling like crap. The 1T is just so beat. I hope your symptoms resolve as you head into the 2T in a few weeks. I have to say I was pretty paranoid about my pregnancy in the beginning too - after a pretty late loss the last time, it was hard to connect or feel at all excited. (((hugs))) Seeing him on a bunch of ultrasounds and the movement really changed things for me in that regard.
Erin - I'm glad you had such a positive first appt.! That's wonderful. I'm glad you're vibing well with the practice and feel comfortable, that's a big deal, for sure. Sorry you're feeling blah, the early days are just hard. I was so tired I cried on the way home from work one day when I got stuck at a red light right before home. I mean, sobbed. It was pitiful (and funny...now!) You just feel so damn worn down! Hope this part passes for you quickly. And how sweet that your dh is happy with your name choice because it's meaningful for you. Are you having any boy/girl feelings?
Ruby - I'm so glad your appt. went so well! I love the midwife in my practice, she's so down to earth and kind and just a really relaxing, positive person to be around. I love appts. with her, I always leave them in a really good mood. Sorry about the rlp and things tasting off. I had that too and it was just hateful. Yay bunkbeds! They're so fun! My brother had them in his room as a kid and we used to have "sleepovers" all the time in there. We'd hang sheets from the top bunk to cover the lower bunk and "camp" in our tent. Your kids will have a blast with those beds.
Jules - I'm glad you're liking being busy with the kids being back in school. I hope it makes the time pass quickly for you. I always find that the fall begins to gear up and fly by for me once October hits. Halloween is just around the corner, then Thanksgiving....it all just seems to speed by. Glad staying off your feet has helped with the swelling. Nothing makes you feel prettier than looking down and not seeing your ankles, right? LOL.
Jamie - it's a good sign that your bp came down a bit after 10 minutes of rest. Hope the bedrest isn't driving you crazy. Getting closer to meeting your little man!
Liz - So exciting!!! Getting closer!! Can't wait to find out what it is

Expecting our little girl after three m/c - EDD 11/29/12
Is 12 weeks too early to feel movement? I swear I felt something unless I'm just feeling gas. I can't remember when I felt it with David but my OB said I would probably feel it sooner second time around
