Pregnancy Grumbles!

Since misery loves company I thought it would be great if we all could post here when we are having bad days due to morning sickness, crazing hormones, awful indigestion, back aches, etc.

I'll start:D

I threw up today due solely (I think) to all the acid that rises in my stomach no matter what I eat. I had just had plain pasta with a teensy bit of tomato sauce and five minutes later I was at the toilet:(.

The heartburn can be so painful and I think it had been rising since last night so throwing up did make me feel better but just for good measure I ate a small bag of doritos afterward. It might not be good for my stomach but it did improve my mood LOL.

That wouldn't happen to be one of the Diana Gabaldon books would it?

Mari - I'm right there with you on the constipation! It has gotten better since I've been trying to eat at least some fresh fruit every day but I have found that dried prunes do not agree with me. I ate some at work this morning and had a sour stomach all morning. One thing - do not strain when you have a BM! As I mentioned in the General thread, I had some bleeding yesterday and the day before with a BM and my MW said it is either a hemorroid or a fissure but either will heal itself. DH gives me a cheer when I tell him I had a BM today, LOL!

Ash - So sorry your tummy is being so sensitive. I haven't actually thrown up yet (knock on wood) but I

Diana Gabaldon is AWESOME!!! (Oh thread crashing btw, no PG grumblings yet lol) I read somewhere her next book was supposed to come out in September, I'll have to check up on that. I really need to reread the series though before that. I am so excited I found other fans!

Carly - Ew, yuck! I can't imagine being tortured with a smokey smelling house while PG! This AM I woke to the smell of someone smoking in proximity to the house, it drifted in my window, & I couldn't stand it! If you can hire someone to steam clean the carpets, & you can wash the walls down, you know with all of that energy you have, & had the ducts cleaned, you may get rid of most of it. Yuck!!

Christine - I find my constipation is gone when I eat both fresh frutis & plenty of green veggies. I agree - no straining!
As for mat pants, the ones with the stretchy tube, the tube can roll down & that helps hold them up some. The under-belly ones are usually pretty good for staying on, even before your bump gets big. It is a frustraing phase to be in. I'm not in it anymore, but I feel your pain.

AFM - Aside from a little sore tummy muscles from the growing bump I'm feeling pretty good. I do still get tired more easily than normal, yet I can't seem to get to bed early. What's up with that?!

My only complaint really so far is my vericose veins and my breasts leaking and being chapped.

Yeah I have done the whole eating crackers before getting up, eating small meals every 2 hours, etc. They all don't make much of a difference in terms of how I feel, or if I have to throw up.

I think in terms of m/s I was just a bit unlucky but who knows maybe other aspects of my pregnancy will be much nicer then the average- a girl can hope right? :D

YAY for Gabaldon fans!!! I love those books, so many twists and little details! And.... how *hot* is Jamie??? My DH´s head almost fell off when I told him I´d like him to wear a kilt at least once in the bedroom... lol!! (But he agreed to take me to Scotland some day, so I shouldn´t complain!)

Oh Carly, having them all in hardcover... I have them all in paperback, different shapes and covers. I even have them in different languages... half of them in spanish and half in english!! But someday I´ll make the investment. I did that with the Harry Potter series and I love how neat they look in my bookshelf.

And yes Lisa, it is coming out in september. I´ll see how our finances are
