Pregnancy Grumbles!

Since misery loves company I thought it would be great if we all could post here when we are having bad days due to morning sickness, crazing hormones, awful indigestion, back aches, etc.

I'll start:D

I threw up today due solely (I think) to all the acid that rises in my stomach no matter what I eat. I had just had plain pasta with a teensy bit of tomato sauce and five minutes later I was at the toilet:(.

The heartburn can be so painful and I think it had been rising since last night so throwing up did make me feel better but just for good measure I ate a small bag of doritos afterward. It might not be good for my stomach but it did improve my mood LOL.

"OMG!!! I am so glad you posted that! I am sure that is what has happened to me multiple months, and then I am bummed that I am not PG!! I must just be sensitive to progesterone! I have struggled with nausea on BCP too... so this makes perfect sense! WOW! Thanks!"

LOL! No problem! Your sincere excitement about learning this is quite funny to me, but you are right, if you don't know that, you totally get your hopes up more during the 1WW than you normally would! Honestly, I ALWAYS have sore BB's, excessive tiredness, and occasionally nausea during the 1WW. Now I know my number one RPS is my temps jumping over 98. That is the first and only real way for me to tell if I might be PG. All the other symptoms are way too subjective until AF is actually late.

Suzie,

It sounds like it might be a tension headache.

Uh oh..

Looks like my morning coffee is out the window....

I rinsed the container I keep my ground beans in tonight and set it on the counter to air-dry and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. Wowza....my whole kitchen smells of coffee...ok not really but my hyper sensitive nose thinks it does.

I was going to grind some fresh beans but I think it'll have to wait. I was only planning to have a cup every once in awhile, not daily like I was but man...after that I don't think so.

I can still smell it!!

Thanks Katie for my siggy!

suzie i get tension headaches too, and you know what works especially well with both massage and heat is ICE. do a nice ice massage before having your DH work on your shoulders, neck, and back. what works really great is to get those paper dixie cups and fill them most of the way with water, then put them in the door of your freezer and let them freeze up. then you can start peeling them down and the bottom of the cup fits nicely in your hand while you rub the ice on your shoulders yourself. the most convenient form of ice massage if you can't have someone else do it for you!

the ice is important because it realigns/resets your muscle fibers so that they don't just rekink when the heat and massage loosens them up.

Suzie - I get headaches while PG a lot! Sometimes, if I catch it right as the headache is starting & take the tylenol right then, it'll go away. This time I figured out that the tylenol with a heat pad of some sort on my neck/ shoulder area (I have a rice filled neck bag that I can micro wave or chill, but the Thermacare ones work well when out & about) works really well! The headache just dissipates. What a relief! Esp/ when there's no one around to massage my shoulders! GL!

Not really a grumble.. more of a pout...

Part of me really feels ... I don't know sad... pathetic. I have a couple of friends I went to high school with that are due about the same time I am. One a little earlier. Well they both have been posting pictures on facebook of how their tummies are starting to pooch and look prego. I'm 23 weeks and if you didn't know I was prego, by looking at me you would never know.

I wasn't skinny, and it really makes me jelouse of those skinny girls who get to glow in the whole... look at me I'm getting a baby bump. Where I just look slightly heavier then I did when I started. How can you be over half way through pregnancy and not even look the slightest big prego? I guess when you start out a little over weight you don't get the joys of looking like your expecting until late. I mean I lost quite a bit of weight before we got prego but it still kinda sad to me that I don't look prego, I can look in the mirror and, honestly if it wasn't for Button kicking I wouldn't beleive I am as far as I am.

Ok end pout... I guess this is just what I get for not being blessed with being skinny.
