Your naming style is… UNIQUE

Boring is definitely not a word anyone would use to describe you. You’re all about marching to the beat of your own drum, embracing creativity, and not caring what anyone else thinks. And chances are, that’s what people love most about you. When it comes to baby names, others might raise a few eyebrows at off-beat celebrity baby names they read about, but not you -- you admire their originality. It’s no mystery then why you naturally steer clear of popular names like Emma and Jacob and are more drawn to quirky or different names most people flip past in the baby name books. Our advice: Just don’t get too nutty when browsing for the right one. Remember, there’s a reason why Moon Unit Zappa is universally considered to be one of the worst names of all time. Know when to rein in the crazy.

Unique baby names you’d love:

For a girl: Delaney, Tatum, Reagan, Ashlyn, Ruby, Calliope

For a boy: Maddox, Jude, Eli, Ryder, Grayson, Jasper

Your style is… RETRO

From old movies to old cars, you definitely have an appreciation for the past, and love it when old trends come back into style. That’s why, when it comes to baby names, you’re a big fan of digging up monikers that have long been forgotten about, but can still work today. The good news for you is that granny names are making a comeback in a big way; so don’t be afraid to hop on that bandwagon. Just make sure you bear in mind which olden-day favorites work in the modern world and which ones are better off not being resurrected. Our advice: Go for names that still have their charm like Adelaide and Rose and try to skip stuffy ones like Ida and Gertrude.

Retro names you’d love:

For a girl: Amelia, Lucy, Nora, Alice, Vivienne, Stella

For a boy: Miles, Luke, Nathaniel, Sebastian, Micah, Graham

Your style is… EARTHY

You pride yourself on being a realist and knowing what’s going on in the world -- and pretty much always having an opinion on all of it, from global issues to local issues. It’s no wonder, then, that you try and do your part in any way you can, whether it’s going organic or springing for cloth diapers. Sure, some might call you crunchy, but hey, you embrace it; you’re a no-frills kind of woman who doesn’t get overly caught up in what’s trendy. And shopping for a baby name is no exception. To you, the most important part of choosing a good name is finding one with a lot of meaning behind it; not just one that everyone else likes. Our advice: Look into poetic-sounding names that are tied in with nature -- like Meadow, Lily, Cypress, or Forrest. Not only are they melodic, but they often have strong meanings attached to them that are sure to resonate with you.

Earthy names you’d love:

For a girl: Scarlett, Willow, April, Delilah, Meadow, Lily

For a boy: Cypress, Forrest, Hunter, Wyatt, Dublin, Oliver
