reluctant to join pg chat

I was going to post in the pregnancy chat thread today, but I'm not sure I'm ready yet. AF was due today at the latest and so I'm taking it as a good sign that it's not here. I just can't help but think of my m/c from March/April. I am having the exact same symptoms happening again: a couple day of nausea, a couple days of frequent urination (so much so that I thought I had a UTI), a few light BFPs, a few -HPTs. I just don't think I could bear to post in the pregnancy chat, have another m/c, and have to see that little red flag next to the thread for the whole month.

So forgive me for not jumping in just yet. I had b/w done today and will get more on Friday if today's is positive. I'll join in the pregnancy chatting if my hcg doubles. So please pray for me and a sticky little bean. I'm already feeling a little defeated...

(((HUGS))) I know exactly how you feel - I went through the exact same thing last summer. The b/w really helped me feel better, but you just have to take it day by day (I know that's a lot harder than it sounds). If you want to talk, feel free to send me an email.

Thank you, Natalie and Leona. I'm having a hard time letting go. DH didn't even want me to test until I was a week late. I should have listened to him. This wishy washy wondering is not doing me any favors!!

Thanks, Lisa. Part of me is petrified, part of me is hopeful, and part of me is resigned to the worst. Isn't that just awful? So how about you? Are you going to the dr any time soon?

((hugs)) - I understand you completely. I felt the same way with this pregnancy after my first ended in a m/c at 8.5 weeks. I didn't want to get any "blinkies" or anything for fear that I would jinx it.

What helped me was temping every day - seeing those temps above my cover line was a life saver.

Hang in there, and please keep us posted about your blood work.

Sticky, baby bean, stick!!

Thanks, Alyssa. My temps are above coverline today but just barely. My CHs were finicky this month anyway. I got a +OPK today when I was doing my IC HPTs but those were negative. How weird is that??

It is awful that you have to feel that way, but completely understandable. You are mentally preparing yourself just in case...I think that's totally natural. I'm hoping that your betas rise quickly so that you can relax a little bit and feel more hopeful and less scared. Will your second beta be Friday?

My first appt is the 17th. It's with the prenatal nurse and I think they just do a pee test and meet with me to talk about what to expect. I can't remember if I had bloodwork last time but in any case they don't test for HCG. My first ultrasound will probably be around the end of August, and then hopefully I can be more excited and will tell my parents (maybe!). Needless to say, I have still been POAS'ing every day since my first BFP to watch the lines get darker. I know it may not be super scientific but it makes me feel better anyway. :)

Thanks, Kate.

Lisa, that seems pretty normal in terms of timeline. I'm just an impatient freak ;) I want a blood test to confirm as soon as the pee stick dries!
