I've got it even when not pregnant (needless to say it's worse now). There really isn't much you can do apart from massage and movement! Stretches are great when standing; or else a simple exercise when lying down: "pumping" the leg, ie flexing and stretching the foot several times; or circling the foot around. That seems to help me as I mainly get it in the calves.

I had it something terrible when I was PG w/ Theodore. I used to spend hours at night bouncing on my birthing ball to keep my legs moving. Wish I had more advice fro you.

Hi Erica! There are some suggestions of things to try on our Health site article, here is the link: http://www.ivillage.com/restless-legs-syndrome/4-y-89039?ice=iv:mb:msg:mm. I also searched the forums and found one thread that suggests that extra calcium might help: http://forums.ivillage.com/t5/Pick-Your-Brains-Hidden/Pregnancy-Symptom-Tips/m-p/73541912.

I hope you can find something that helps, I remember how annoying RLS can be.

Ooo, yah, it's no good!! I think I have a very minor version of it and I just start shaking my foot/leg when I'm lying down and it acts up. Drives my DH crazy. Sorry it's getting so uncomfortable for you!!
