I didn't see a Sept. thread for our group so thought I would go ahead and set one up! Hope everyone is well!!
*Thanks Joelle for my awesome siggy!
Now that I've caught up on our August thread, on to personals...
Cassie - You poor thing - having to run all over your store like that! I forget, will you be on nights up until your maternity leave? I'm so excited for your big reveal in less than a week! It will be really special for you and DH, no matter how you find out together.
Noel - Thanks for the Boulder suggestions! We decided to go somewhere local this weekend, just for a night. I'm really excited - we have a 1BR suite at a resort with a waterpark about 90 min. from our house. I imagine I won't be able to go on any waterslides but I'll still have fun. I'm trying to convince DH to explore other cities than just Vegas (I've lost count how many times we've gone now) but he's always wary of trying new things.
Mari - Congrats again on the boy! And Noel's reasons for homebirth are pretty much the reasons I'm going that route, although I will be doing a waterbirth as well. My midwife said I should do great since I love the water anyway (must be the Aquarian in me!) and that it usually takes away 1/2 the pain.
Has anyone experienced leg cramps (Charley Horse) at night? I've had them two nights in a row now. If I stretch a certain way, they come on right away (so painful!)
Christine, as far as I know I will be on nights until I go on maternity leave. They are realligning the management team so there is a small chance I would go back to days but I'm sure that since I just got to nights that is where I'll stay for a while.
Sorry about the leg cramps. I have not had that problem. I did get up half a dozen times to go pee though. I have not done that since the 1T. I'm not sure what the heck is up. Seems like I was up every 2 hours last night.
Mari, congrats again on a lil boy. Another friend of mine from high school found out she and her DH are having a girl. They were both set on a boy so are having to have a bit of a mind change but they are super excited anyway.
I'm nervous for next week. I am excited to know but my mind keeps telling me Button is a boy and not that I don't want a girl but I'm afraid I'll be wrong. Is that odd?
Hello Ladies!! I think I will be joining you now in the 2T group. Some say that 14 weeks starts the 2T and some things say 13 so I figured what the heck I am showing so it doesn’t matter at this point.
Cassie - I feel the same way about finding out the gender. Even before I was PG I felt we would have a boy first and now both of our families thinks it's a boy. I've been trying to change my mind into thinking girl thoughts as well just so I won't be disappointed. We of course will be happy either way but I think it's completely normal what we're feeling. Also, I'm not sure if your OB gave you PG exercises to do but I've been doing the pelvic tilt 2-4x's day now and have noticed that I only get up once during the night to pee, if at all. My MW said it would help with having to go all the time so you may want to try it as well. I can scan the instruction sheet she gave me and post it here if you're not sure what I'm talking about.
Jay - Welcome! I have heard that women who have been PG before may feel movement earlier so I wouldn't discount that that's the baby you're feeling! I can't wait for that moment to come for me. This week I felt like I popped out a little bit more. It's nice that I'm finally starting to look PG and not just fat as usual. BTW - have you gone for your prenatal massage yet? Mine is next weekend and I can't wait! I go every 4 weeks. Are you a Massage Envy member? That helps with the price too.
Ashley - Glad to hear I'm not alone with the leg cramps. I haven't had them the last few nights but boy, was my left calf sore for days!
Anyone have big plans for the weekend? DH and I are heading somewhere local later this afternoon, just to get away for a night. I also found out at work this week that I get to go to Vegas in Oct. for an annual conference I usually attend. I thought for sure with all the hoopla over my student teaching that my boss wouldn't send me but she told me to book my travel plans. DH will most likely meet me out there at the end of the week and we will stay through the weekend so he is excited.
Have a safe holiday weekend everyone! ^_^
Christine, I think part of my naucturia is the fact that I sleep all day long. When I am awake I am so busy I seem to forget to go. I know that sounds
Christine - Local vacay's are really nice! I hope you have a lovely time! Also, the charley horse is miserable! I haven't had one yet this time, but I have woken up to them in the middle of the night before. It's hideous! Making sure to get plenty of calcium will help. I've been drinking loads of milk on top of my PNV, so maybe that's why I haven't had any so far.
Cassie - It's perfectly normal to have an idea that it's one gender ofr the other. With my DS I was convinced I was having another girl. Boy was I surprised when I had an U/S at 26 wks & there were is lil boy parts! At that age I could tell before the tech said anything. You'll be adjust & be happy, whichever it winds up being.
Ladies, the weirdest thing happened to me this past days... I post it here, but I'm not sure if it is
It sounds to me like plain old sore muscles. Maybe made more intense by the loose ligaments & such the PG hormones give you. DTD does use the same muscles as squatting & birth, after all. That means you over-did your 'training exercises' a bit, yes?
