She's not "Too Big" :)

I had my u/s this morning and they are estimating that she weighs 5lbs 5oz...which is only the 35th percentile!! So by 40 weeks, they still expect her to be under 8 pounds :) My fluid levels looked great too. They said anything around 5 would be low...and I was at 11.9 (I'm assuming that's fluid ounces).

So all of that means that they shut up about inductions today :) Whoo hoo!! She said that she didn't see any reason that I would need to be induced early.

Thanks for all the "small baby" vibes!

I'm jealous! At my 34w6d u/s, our little one measured 7 lbs 6 oz. Heck, a lot of babies are smaller than that when they are born - and I still had 5 weeks to go at that point! Congrats on no induction :)

Yay, Heather! That's great news. Sounds like she's right on track. And for the record I think they often measure fluid in cm, weird right? That's how they did mine anyway. At the end with McKenna I had 15 cm of fluid which they said was kind of a lot? I have no idea how it works.m,

That's a relief, Heather! Though I think it is ridiculous that doctors even tell women that the baby might be "too big". Our bodies are amazing, and with the right support, people can even birth babies that are 12 pounds! Plus I have heard SOOO many reports of those weight estimates being FAR off!

But I'm glad they are not pressuring you for an induction anymore (I can't get over how wrong I think that is, though).

Glad she didn't measure too big! I hate those late-term weight checks, though. Ry was "measuring" over 8 lbs. at 36 weeks. I freaked out, but when he was born 5 weeks later, he weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. Guess he lost some weight, lol.

Thanks everyone :)

Just glad that I don't have to deal with them wanting to induce early based on a poor estimate...
