Side Ache in Belly

I did some cleaning earlier tonight, vacuuming, sweeping, walking up and down stairs. I carried slowly one stair at a time the vacuum up the stairs, but not down and around dinner time I started to have these pains when I moved a certain way. We were having dinner with friends so I was doing probably more work than I should have, but now the pain still isn't gone and it's about 5 or so hours later. It's tender when I push on my belly and I am wondering if something is wrong.

I don't have any other symptoms of the placenta abruption, no bleeding, no nothing, no changes in discharge....I am not sure what to do if anything.

I think it might be from my constipation....how silly. I had some earlier and spent way too long on the toilet. Now when I just tried to go again, the same muscles in my belly that are tender and sore where what are used to have a BM, so I am thinking that might be it.

How stupid do I feel now?

Jess--LOL!!

If it makes you feel any better, when I have to pee or poo really bad, I sometimes get what I can only think would be comparable to contractions, it is insane. Talk about needing a bathroom close by!!

Anyway, I'm glad that you think it is nothing. ;-)

Thanks Adrienne - I feel so dumb, but I guess it's just part of the baby getting bigger :)

I had trouble going to sleep last night because of the pain, just couldn't get comfortable and then around 2am I woke up to pee and the pain and tenderness was gone. I was finally able to "go" this morning and all is better ;) Funny how our bodies work.

Baby was probably lying on your intestines which doesn't help the pain or the constipation. Z used to push on one side of my abdomen, get all comfy, curl up and sleep. I would try to wake him up to move, but when he's out, he's out.
Also it is usually recommended not to vacuum during pregnancy because of the pushing and pulling can potentially cause problems.

I am glad that your pain was gone. When I first started having contractions, I didn't know that's what was happening. It just felt like a cramp because I had to use the bathroom.
