I just started spotting. It seems like a lot. I'm so scared.
Is there anything I can do?

Thanks to Katie, Tara, and Joelle for my wonderful siggies!
Well Cassie, first thing I would do is call your Dr. Keep in mind that if you don't have any pain and the spotting is not bright red, you and the baby are probably OK, but call Dr. anyways.
(((hugs))) honey!!! I went throught that, and it's totally scary!!
oh, i know how you feel...totally scary. i was only a couple days farther along than you when i had my spotting/bleeding. call your doc, take it easy. if it gets bright red, heavy, or painful, call your doc again. become a couch potato this evening, no getting up unless you have to.
i hope it's nothing, just scary spotting early on. lots of us had it. P&PT.
Cassie-- I'm thinking about you! I don't have any new advice but just wanted to let you know that you and your bean are in my thoughts and prayers!
Take Care and KUP!
Like the other ladies have said, try to stay calm and call your healthcare provider.
Thanks Joelle for my siggy!
Half to Whole
Thank you to everyone for your advice, encouragement and P&PT.
I ended up going to the hospital where, after a long wait, I was seen by a very nice doctor who did an ultrasound. The baby was right where it should be and he said it looked normal for this stage of pregnancy. He wasn't able to find a fetal heart rate, but he wasn't worried about that - he said it's not uncommon to not be able to see it at this point. He said the bleeding was most likely caused by the bean settling in (well, those weren't his exact words:). But, as long as the bleeding goes away in the next day or two, he said not to be concerned.
So, I'm very relieved. And DH loved seeing the bean:). (I could barely see anything from where I was laying, even though the doctor tried to point things out to me.)
Thanks again everyone. You ladies are the best! (((HUGS)))
(((HUGS))) I hope you're being quiet because you're resting sweetie.
I hope that's it's just a little spooting & goes right away again. There's no way to stop what ever it is. Cal the Doc, rest & drink plenty of water is the best you can do. Hang in there. Let us know what's up when you can.
