Molly - Not to scare you, but I did have light pink spotting in my first pregnancy that did end in a miscarriage. However, the bleeding progressively got worse over a short(ish) period of time (between first seeing the pink spotting and miscarriage was about 24 hours), and I also had cramping. So, if you're not experiencing either of those, I'm sure it's fine.
I would just try to wait it out until tomorrow, but if you are concerned, or you do get heavier spotting and/or cramping, definitely call your doctor if you want.
Hang in there! The 1T can be so scary sometimes, but I'm sure everything is okay!
I had spotting at 5.5 weeks with my first pregnancy. It turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma. I had spotting for a few days then and they did an u/s (when we found out we were pregnant w/ multiples). I continued to have a SCHs in random places in my uterus for the whole pregnancy but I ended up with healthy twins. I've heard of people having SCH throughout their pregnancy and spotting or bleeding the whole time but I only spotted for those few days at 5.5 weeks. The rest was contained in my uterus.
If you weren't going in tomorrow, I would have told you to go in today or tomorrow. But since your appt is tomorrow, I would just say get there a few minutes early so that you have a little longer with the doc and bring that up as a concern right away.
With Ray I didn't have any spotting. With this pregnancy I did. Very early on... actually probably about where you are at now. They might be able to pinpoint the cause of the spotting on your US tomorrow. If the spotting was accompanied by cramps or got heavier I would call the DR. Or if you're really nervous. Maybe they can move your US from tomorrow to today.
Hang in there.
I had spotting when wiping (usually just once or twice a day) for an entire week around week 6. The doctor put me on bedrest since I had a history of miscarriage.
However, I think brown spotting means "old blood", so I wouldn't worry too much--especially since you have an u/s tomorrow. Definitely take it easy if it will put your mind at ease though!
Here's a post I made while I was spotting that might help to set your mind at ease:
Thank you so much everyone for your replies.
