AF, anyone?

I know on TTCing boards they usually have sections for what part of your cycle you are in . . . and AF seems particularly wicked for me since its my first since my D+C.

I took two Aleve a bit ago and I'm glad I did. I'm also glad I'm still off for the summer--though I go back tomorrow, the kids don't come until Tues, and I'm really glad she'll be almost gone by then.

Anyone else want to grumble about AF with me?

Hi Jennifer - I'm thread crashing here, but I just wanted to say Hi, and it's good to hear from you! I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering how you were doing. Do you think you'll stick around the board? I hope you are doing well and I really hope that you get that sticky BFP soon.

Glad you checked in. I'm sending loads of BFP vibes your way!

These are what I was talking about Missy. You can find them at the drugstore. They worked really well for me when I had bad cramping.

Adrienne, sorry the cramps are bothering you. Hopefully AF will be gone in a few days.

But a heating pad in your underwear? I've never heard of that before. There are some days where that might be kinda nice, though.

Ugg, sorry you're cramping so bad with AF :( But does this mean that you'll be TTC again this cycle? I know you were not wanting to wait...so I guess I'm asking the same thing as Ella...

I'm excited for you!!

Hey Adrienne - I just wanted to say I totally KWYM about AF and the mental aspects of it after a D&C. :/ It's normal, but it sucks. And you totally did feel uterine contractions - I was told that they are similar to labor pains... and yeah, those things are serious, so hopefully one good thing that can come out of having a D&C is that you get a little taste for what you're in for during labor. IDK why, but that thought helped me somewhat. Anyway, I'm glad she showed up, and you didn't have to wait *too* long - I hope she comes and goes quickly for you, and then you jump straight to your sticky BFP! Did your Dr. agree to refill your Rx for Metformin so you can start that this cycle?

(((HUGS))) - thinking of you, sending you tons of baby dust!

Thanks so much, Ash! I feel like it will be soon, too. I have mentioned before that my personal deadline is Christmas. If I am not PG by Christmas, I will officially freak out. But as long as it happens before that, it's all good, LOL.

And AF is never super PAINFUL for me, it just . . . idk if anyone else gets this feeling--but it just feels like my entire body is falling out of my womb. . . LOL . . . idk, like the first couple days, it's not like the cramping is PAINFUL, it is just uncomfortable in a "what is happening to my body" sort of way, although by now I am certainly aware of what is happening . . . idk.

Clearly I did a horrible job explaining this, but yeah, I'm not in a ton of pain and I don't have a/c, so heating pads don't sound real great in this weather. It's just weird to have AF after so long.

After my D+C I had spotting and SERIOUS cramps--I could imagine for the first time what labor might be like because . . . well, I'm sure I was having uterine contractions, the same as when you are in labor (only not as strong I am sure). But the point being it was a totally different experience.

SOOOO, I guess AF just seems weird to me after not having it for so long, plus I'm sure the mental aspect of it is affecting me too . . . ok, I have rambled enough. LOL.

I am sorry you are having such a rough AF Adrienne- but glad it finally showed up for you!

Can't wait to see you back in the pregnancy thread- I know your sticky bean is coming SO soon!!!!

Have you tried those heating pads that you put in your underwear? I know they sometimes helped me, and they are quite inexspensive.
