Alyssa,

My temp tanks like that either the day AF arrives, or the day before. I would expect her for sure tomorrow (or maybe during the night or something). Sorry, I wish you were PG instead! Stupid AF.

Hmm...I just looked this up in TCOYF and apparently a large temp decrease can happen sometimes the day before AF. I guess it all depends on the timing. Weird for me though - especially since it dropped so steeply and way under the coverline!

I need your thoughts, ladies.

My temp tanked this morning, but AF hasn't come. This hasn't happened to me before - has this happened to anyone else? I thought temps decrease when you get AF, not before, but maybe I'm wrong? I just want AF to come so I can move on already! LOL

Well based on those crosshairs, you probably have nothing to worry about . . . but KUP!

Thanks for the interp. FF finally gave me cross-hairs for CD17, so at least I have something to work off of.

I don't tend to have a big thermal shift - most cycles look like that for me. That's why the high temp raised figurative eye-brows.

On the why - as bad/poor as it sounds, it just happened that way. I had condoms with me, but he made the move very early in the morning (like 2am early) after we'd both fallen asleep early in the evening due to stress from workload/elderly parent issues. When we got started, I just didn't ask.

Kerryl

Well, it is really hard for me to make any guess based on your chart, because your previous cycle looks almost anovulatory to me. When I try to evaluate if someone has O'd, I usually look at the previous month or months temps, and try to see if the current temps are above that persons average coverline. But since your previous month had practically no change in temps from before to after O, it is hard for me to even make a guess about whether you O'd or not. Normally I would say no way, your temps haven't changed enough, but idk if that is "normal" for you for them NOT to change that much.

Do your cycles typically look like the one in July/August?

One thing I will say is that big jump should probably be disregarded. The temps before and after that are right around the same--I think that high temp was a fluke--did you take it at a different time, or had you been awake for awhile already when you took it?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much (or, alternatively, get your hopes up). There are, obviously, people who get PG on their first month trying, but it is highly unlikely that one night of unprotected sex will result in PGcy. Even if you O'd THAT DAY, the odds are only 20% . . . and I doubt you O'd that day.

I am curious why you would have unprotected sex on CD 13/14/15 if you DIDN'T want to get PG . . . ?

Hi Kerryl!!! Glad to hear things are going well with the new beau!

Looking at your chart all I can say is that you probably O'd on Tuesday (although Sun and Mon are also possibilities)- for everything else it is just too early. Also 7DPO is way too early to test-the earliest that anyone here reliably gets a positive is 10 DPO and really you won't be sure until 12 DPO or 14 if you are getting negatives and your period doesn't come.

SO I guess what I am saying is you just have to wait it out- symptoms can be very deceiving for both BFN and BFPs and tests too early don't tell us anything...

I hope this works out how you want

hi all,

May I start with AHHHHH!!!!!!!

I'm not a WTT grad - but I've known many of you from the WTT boards - and I trust your charting skills!!

I've been dating Ian for 3 months. We first DTD over the weekend and as I chart (albeit not overly carefully since I've been single/celebate for some 6 months), I knew it was around my usual O time. And we didn't use condoms (Bad Kerryl, Bad - I really know better than that with a new partner).

Since Monday I've been feeling queezy/green - but I don't know if that's an IPS or stress/panic!! The BBs re NOT sore, which actually makes a nice change as they're usually quite painful by now. Do I know interlectually that this is probably too early for much to be happening - Yup.

FF hasn't given me cross-hairs, possibly because I don't have a temp for Sunday morning (I got it when I put in some 'play' data) - this morning's however, has um ...spiked! I've never jumped that much before. I'm reckon I'm only 3DPO - planning to test Sunday which will be 7DPO. If anyone wants to put a new set of eyes over it, feel free - I think mine are somewhat fuzzy with respects to my chart. I'm operating in celcius, btw.

For info, he's taking the line of "I want kids, you want kids. So what if we're at step 4 without having had steps 1-3?? - and now will work 'cause you can still go to that conference in mid-2011 you want to go to", so I'm not worried about his feelings on the concept of me already potentially being pregnant. Ian's 43, I'm 35, for info.

I agree; that's a weird day for them to mark as O, especially considering your temps in the days leading up to it. They did give you dotted CH though, so they'll probably move it to a solid line for a later cycle day if you have a few higher temps in the next couple of days. I'd trust your CM and yourself before I'd trust dotted crosshairs!
