Does anyone know that you are TTC?

I was curious if you tell family and/or friends that you are TTC or if you like to keep it to yourself.

Not TTC yet but this summer. I am not telling anyone this time except one or two friends . First time I felt pressure after I told my mom so keeping it quiet this time.

We didn't tell anyone (friends or family) the first time around and I'm hoping to do the same with #2. For some close friends that have asked recently, I just tell them that we're still figuring out the right time or "sometime this year".

My parents never put pressure on us to produce grandchildren but my ILs sure did. Although now that my ILs have 3 under the age of 4, I think they're satisfied. They will probably pass out when we announce when we're PG with #2 as I'm pretty sure my DHs two siblings are "one and done".

Family and friends know we'll be having another at sometime, but they don't know when and I don't think we'll tell them (except maybe our best friends).

I didn't tell anyone when we were trying for our first, but I told my best friend when we tried for #2 and #3. It was sort of sad for #3 because my best friend and I started TTC at the same time, and she didn't get pregnant until the month when Charlotte was actually born. Through the whole pregnancy I worried about telling her things and making her sad. She was wonderfully supportive and caring through the whole experience though.

I don't remember really telling anyone we were trying. There was a gal at work that was prego so I talked to her quite a bit and she knew when we were as I had a, " thought I was prego cause I was late." the month before we started trying.

We have been asked quite a bit about having another one. Since DH and I are apart till May I just tell people that its in the plans but its a little difficult without DH being in the same place. Once he gets here we will go from there depending on jobs and such. So other then my OL girls here I doubt we really tell anyone when we start.

We keep it to ourselves and I'm pretty forward about deflecting questions too. The last time I was asked was at Christmas and I said in a "tone", well everybody will know when Todd and I know I'm PG just like last time." The subject quickly changed. I just think its a private matter and really, not many people IRL really care that much to know.
