Nice TTCing/IF Story

Hey All,

So I wanted to post this in a separate thread because I thought you would all be as inspired by it as I . . .

So I have this student teaching intern observing me on Fridays--she is 22, seems like a really nice girl. I got an Email from her this week telling me that she just found out she is pregnant, so she would have to leave early one day for an appt. So I congratulated her and sort of assumed it was a "surprise" for her and her husband.

Then on Friday she came in, and I congratulated her again and I was like: "So were you guys trying or it was just a surprise?" and she goes on to tell me that ACTUALLY, they had been trying for like two years, had unexplained IF, had gone through a ton of IF treatments including one (failed) cycle of IVF, and that they were gearing up for their next IVF cycle next month, and unexpectedly, and with no intervention (except acupuncture) found herself pregnant this month.

When I heard this story I was so touched, and it reminded me, once again, that babies come on their own timeline. It gave me hope for myself, and for all of us . . . so I wanted to share it. Please keep her in your thoughts that her bean is nice and sticky.

:-)

What a wonderful story - thanks for sharing Adrienne!

It's very similar to a friend of mine. They had been trying for over two years, and their IF was also unexplained. She started going to an acupuncturist, who has treated many other women who couldn't get PG - she was PG in two months, and is due in a few weeks! He has a 100% track record!

My therapist also deals with many women who have fertility problems, and she said that all of them have gotten PG eventually (with or without help).

It's definitely like you said - babies come on their own timeline. Stories like this should give us all hope.
