Question about chemical pregnancy

For those that have had one, did your cycle go back to normal right away? I was 4w4d when it happened, I'm on CD5 now and am wondering if I should be expecting a crazy cycle? Or hopefully back on track?

For both of mine it did, but for my miscarriage (took 7 weeks to start bleeding but baby was gone immediately) I bled for about 3 weeks, stopped for 16 days, and then bled another 2 1/2 weeks before my cycles when back to normal.

I am so so sorry for your loss :(

Thanks Amy.I'm still bummed, but hoping my cycle is normal and we get a sticky bean soon. Bleeding is almost done, hopefully that's a good sign. Maybe a silly question, but after your chemicals did you test to see if the hormones were out of your system?

I would test again. I always knew I was having a chemical pregnancy because I would get a negative test with bleeding. It's just a good confirmation that that is definitely what happened.

My cycles were always normal post chemical pregnancy (I had 3), but for me normal has a very broad range. You cycle may be a little longer than usual, so if your going to go right back to TTC (which I think is totally fine) you'll want to make sure to keep BDing until you're totally sure you've O'd. I never did with the chemicals, but with my m/c I did (I actually got my darkest BFPs while bleeding :( ). But like a PP said they would probably be negative since the HCG didn't have a lot of time to build up in your system.

Personally I always cycled totally normally (after chemical pregnancies, and even after having a D+C).

Thanks for your responses and support ladies. I'm feeling a little emotionally drained, but I think that's to be expected. I'm hoping this cycle is somewhat normal. I'm also hoping to be one of those lucky ladies who gets a sticky BFP soon after a loss :)

I had 2 chemical pregnancies in a row before getting PG with Anna--my cycles were completely normal-so much so that, aside from some RPS that I would have written off as IPS, if I hadn't POAS those 2 times, I would never have known I was PG at all.
