Thanks for getting us all set up over here Alison!
Not much going on for me right now. I am going today for my pre-op blood work. Hopefully all is well and surgery will proceed next week as scheduled. I called my insurance company this morning and was pleasantly surprised to learn that I didn't need to pre-certify for surgery and that it will be covered at 100% after my $100 deductible. I am so fortunate that my DH's job provides such good coverage.
After surgery next week, we are headed back to visit both of our families in IL. They live about 3.5 hours apart, so we will probably spend a few days with each. I'm looking forward to eating some good comfort food and getting my hair cut (haven't done so since my last trip back in February!). I'm sure DH will be bringing his laptop so I will be able to check in here and let you know how surgery went.
Thanks, Alison for setting up this thread.
Cortney, GL with the surgery and it's fantastic that your insurance is being so easy about this.
AFM, I started the femara, so we'll see what happens this cycle.
Oh good, glad you guys got a thread set up over here - now I know where to go to stalk my favorite TTCers ;) Sending loads of baby dust your way!
Good luck with the Femara this cycle, Missy!
Just wanted to thread crash to say that one of my BFFs had a fibroid removed from her uterus after 11 mos of TTC.
I've just been busy with my sister and other friends staying with us for awhile, and also getting ready for school to start. The heat and humidity here have been unbearable!
Apparently I didn't O on time, because AF is still not here. I'm annoyed, I just want to get on with it!
My friend who is a Chinese medicine doctor proscribed me this Dong Quai root blend that I have been trying to take every day. Other than that, just WAITING.
GL with the femera this cycle, Missy!
Alison--thanks for setting up the thread.
Cort--I hope this fibroid removal is what does it for you! Can you start trying right away, or do you have to wait?
Everyone else--check in!
Hi everyone! How nice to have our own grad board! :D
Cortney- Once again, I hope your surgery goes well
Missy-GL with the femara
Adrienne- Darn that long cycle! I can imagine you just wanna get this one over with. The fertility vitamin DH takes also has dong quai root. On the bottle it says it's to help sperm quality, did your friend say what the benefit is for women? I may possibly need to add that to my bag of tricks...
AFM- Well school started on Thursday so of course I have been super busy the past week. The first days are always hectic in my dept and on top of that I don't even have all the students in my class yet that are supposed to be there >:o Oh well...Tomorrow is my doctor appt to get that referral to an RE. I'm trying to get all my charts printed off from FF so hopefully she will understand my concerns and not give me a hard time. :/ I don't know but sometimes my doctor seems like she doesn't want to do anything.
Thanks Joelle for my beautiful siggy!
Hey Girls....I'm still here.
Hey Ruth, just checking in to see your appt went. Did you get the referral?
Adrienne, sorry for the extra long cycle. This whole process can be so frustrating.
Kass- yikes! Sorry about the damage. Did you say you live in Stillwater? I know we've had quite a few T-storms in the OKC area lately and it seems my brother in Stillwater is always getting the most of the damage. :/
AFM- My appt went pretty well! Kinda funny though when the nurse was checking me and asking what I was here for, and she had never heard of a "reproductive endocriniologist." Fortunately the doctor knew what I was talking about and definitely understands my concerns. So they are going to get me set up with the fertility center I want to go to. I can't wait to at least get SOME answers and to know for sure if there are any issues with either of us. Of course, it would be great if I could get that BFP before the appt but I won't get my hopes up too high just yet.
