"Well DH has his S/A appt this Thursday morning and I'm nervous!"
I'm sure everything will be fine, Amber!! Don't worry, my DH had a real confidence boost from seeing everything was fine with him. He loved DTD after that! Heheheh!
"On a funny note - when I called the doctor's office & said we wanted to get this done. The secretary actually asked me how to spell semen."
Wow! LOL! What else can you even say about that?
AFM--Well, I STILL haven't made an appt with my RE. :-P But I have been taking the Metformin, and I've been taking EPO . . . my friend who is a Chinese Medicine doctor prescribed Dong Quai root, and I was taking it for awhile, but I kept being slightly nauseous, and I FEEL like it was connected . . . so I stopped taking it and since then I haven't felt nauseous . . . too bad, I heard Dong Quai was great for fertility . . .
I need to start temping again and I will start using OPK's . . . maybe tomorrow, I would rather start sooner instead of chancing missing O. One thing I noticed in my BFP cycle was that me and DH DTD the day after I O'd . . . so we'll do that again this cycle. Normally we are worn out by the time I O and we just stop DTD as soon as O comes. I was always under the impression that it is better to do it before, so the swimmers are waiting for the egg when it pops, but who knows, maybe after is good for us . . . we won't take any chances this time. I really want to be PG again ASAP.
Ooo, one of my best friends at work is PG! We go out every Fri, and last week, she got there before me, she was the first one, and I got there next. So I walked in and she was drinking water . . .Me: Are you drinking water? Her: Yeah.Me: Are you PG?(Pause)Her: Maybe . . .
LOL! And of course I shrieked and hugged her. I knew she was trying and we all know each other so well, we love getting our drink on, I knew she was PG as soon as I saw the water! Hehe!
I am SOOOO happy for her, she was trying for six months. We had time after that before anyone else got there and I told her about the m/c--it was nice to talk about it. She is going to try to hide it from everyone else at work but she is already puking and I'm sure if she goes out again this week and everyone notices her drinking water they are going to know . . . hehehe, but by now she must be six, almost seven weeks, so she'll hopefully be in the clear to tell people soon.
It is really nice to talk about PGcy and TTCing with someone in real life, and I love her, she is one of my best work friends. She is the sweetest most wonderful person, she totally deserves this.
Adrienne, it's great you have a friend IRL that you can talk to about this. It can be so hard to always feel like we are holding back something that is so big in our lives right now.
AFM, we are in a waiting to O fest that is wearing me out. Last time on femara I O'd on day 14 and so we started several days in advance and now it's day 16 and I still don't have a + OPK.
Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!
Well, I am still a bit confused about my cycle: the bleeding was VERY light and lasted only a couple days +1 day of spotting... Plus my temps have been relatively "high" but I'm not sure whether or not that's due to the sinus infection I'm still getting over. I'm almost tempted to count the 2 days of "menses" as "spotting" to see if FF thinks I O'ed. :P Not like it would make a difference anyway as it seems "good timing" has been put on the back burner since school started :/
Kass, those temps do look great and it looks triphasic. The BFNs are difficult, but I'm still holding out hope for you.
Ruth, I'm not sure about your cycle. I will say that my AF has gotten much lighter and is really only 2 days plus some spotting, which seems like what you had.
Adrienne,I was thinking about what you said about getting your BFP when you BD the day after O. I don't think it's right to place too much stock in what happens in one particular cycle. But, it does logically make sense b/c I read that using CM and temps to pinpoint O is only accurate to plus/minus a day. So it could that on some months you stop BDing too a day too early. My rule of thumb is to keep BDing until FF gives me crosshairs.
AFM, I did have a higher temp today, but then I also had a positive OPK. So one sign says I will o in the next day or so and the other says I just did. I guess we just have ot keep going for a few more days.
Missy, good luck this cycle!!! I would keep BDing if you can, I would bet O is happening today or tomorrow!
And I totally know what you mean about FF possibly being off about my O date--like I said, we will be really careful this cycle to BD until several days after O--I really like your idea about BDing until FF gives crosshairs . . .
I STILL haven't called my doc and I feel like such a loser, seeing as now that we have a long weekend, there is no way I will even see him until after O. Ughhhhhhhh . . . . oh well.
