Lisa - In response to your questions: No one knows we are TTC. Well, except you guys. I just do not feel comfortable with anyone IRL knowing about it. I'm even super close to my mom and won't tell her. We'll also probably wait awhile to tell them when we do get a BFP, which was a position further solidified by my chem pg. As for people who ask, I usually just say "Eventually." It's none of their business as far as I'm concerned, and I frankly get a little ticked if anyone but my mom says anything, so I put them off. I think it's assumed that once we move and get settled it'll happen, which is why I would have really liked an early BFP so I could surprise them and announce it when we go home in a few weeks.
Who knows that you are TTC? My mom, my two brothers, three of my close work friends, and about 5 of my other closest girlfriends.
Mary – I never thought I’d say this, but I’m glad AF came for you – if only to put you out of the misery of limbo. New cycle=new hope! I’m sorry to hear that your DH was disappointed, though. I can easily imagine this, since my DH kept his hopes up when AF was just a bit later than usual for me last cycle, even though I tried to tell him all other signs pointed to “negative.” I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is your cycle. May babies would be very nice indeed:).

I have to say...even though I'm sad to see some of our WTT friends move on to the PG threads, now that our group is smaller it makes it tons easier to do personals!!
Who knows that you are TTC?
My husband’s family and coworkers.
Andi - I wouldn't worry about buying a house right away, babies don't really mind about things like that ;-) Can't wait until Fri!
Cassie - my DH is the same way. He reads up all the info himself tho so I don't lose patience with him. THis might be TMI, but he has actually checked my CM!!!
Jen - my DH makes me call it "cervical fluid" bc he really dislikes "mucus"...but lets face it, with kids comes much worse than that...he saw me deliver LOL.
Lisa - I HAVE a toddler and I am not deterred in the least ;-)
Who have I told? I surprised myself by sharing with a very close coworker today. I never told anyone the first time. But I was just bubbling to tell someone that I am in my "2WW"...and she is so supportive that I am always happy I shared. I purposefully haven't told either mother that we are trying bc they BOTH said that we should stop at one. I'm sure they wil be happy when we annouce it though.
What do I say when ppl ask about having a second? I say, "we are leaning toward it - we want him to have a little friend to play with."
well it looks like I won't be keeping you waiting till Friday... temp taaaanked this morning and I had a bit of typical pre-AF spotting, so she's on her way! It was a strange cycle, sure looked good! But I had a feeling this whole last week when the creamy CF stopped and all the IPS's went away. The first thought in my head was "maybe a gemini baby then?!" LOL
It's gonna be a crazy day at work (yesterday I had to make a child protective services report and I'm gonna have to deal with the fallout from that today, plus do a bunch of extra paperwork, oh joy)... actually, the next couple weeks will be busy with the kids going back to school, so I think my next GOFO fest will get here quickly. :)
Have a great day everyone!
I was really hoping this was it for you. Maybe your original intuition will be right with a Sept. BFP. :-) (me too :-P)
Glad you have stuff to pass the time though. I am looking forward to school starting so that I keep busy during the different waiting periods of TTC.
Hello ladies, Happy Thursday!
Erin, thanks for setting up the thread!!
Mary, I'm glad AF showed up for you too! I think now that the move is behind you, it will definitely help re-focus and get back into TTC mode. Its amazing how a house can suck up all your energy even if you try to not let it!
Lisa, good luck with the TWW!! I wasn't surprised either when AF showed. Sounds like you had a good visit with your doc and your friend too! Toddlers are a handful but so fun too!
Erin, good luck with the move! I'll be starting that fun tomorrow too!
Jenni, sorry your DH has mixed feelings about TTC and a baby. I think a LOT of men have those feelings because it just isnt real to them until much further into a pregnancy or when the baby actually gets here. Its not as immediate for them as it is for us. Pe,rsonally I think he's spot on about TTC not becoming a chore...it should still be fun and spontaneous as it was before.
Cassie, and you have the opposite problem of Jenni!! A DH that is OVER involved, haha! Aaah men. I hope he eases up a bit for the both of you.
Jen, good luck with the charting!
Dee, LOL about DH checking your CM!
Andi, sorry your temps have tanked :( I was so hoping this was it for you. Onto the next cycle. You, me and Mary will hopefully be getting our BFP's together soon!
Who knows your are TTC? Absolutely nobody except you ladies. Nobody will know until we get a BFP
What do you say?? I just ignore the question/comments, change the subject or say its up for discussion. I'm very adamant that it is a PRIVATE event between me and my DH and I so don't need the pressure. I already have a friend at work that assumes every little thing now that I'm PG. Its super annoying.
Anyway, AF is on her way out. She's short and sweet when she does get here. Which is perfect because the big move is this weekend and next week. We signed our papers yesterday and we get our keys tomorrow morning sometime. We're super excited!!! If I'm not around much, its because I'm super super busy!!! Baby dust to those in the TWW!!!
Thanks Katie for my siggy!
