Erin - Thanks for starting up the September thread!
Alyssa - Welcome to TTC!
Haha, Erin, that's funny because I have a RL friend who is TTC and you say so many things that sound like her that I finally asked her the other day if she was on this board, posing as an "Erin" and posting a pic of someone else's little pug just to throw people off her trail. ;o) It's too bad you're moving... I've actually become good friends with another girl from a TTC board (not one that *I* was on, but a friend of mine "met" her on a TTC board and thought we were so much alike that when she found out we both lived in the bay she set us up on a blind-friend-date, LOL. My DH thinks we're nuts, but now we're good friends with her and her DH and their two LO's).
And thanks for the empathy on the allergies. Oooooog. It's bad. I started feeling like Tyrone from the Chappelle show (the itchy crack addict character... hmmm....). Uhoh, Benadryl kicking in, time for bed. :)
Andi - Yeah, good plan on the movie Saturday. I was in a rage and dripping sweat at home trying to pack and clean. BTW, if I wasn't moving out of Northern CA on Sunday, I'm pretty sure I would hunt you down and befriend you in real life. You sound so much like me sometimes that it's freaky ("awkwaaard!" lol).
That really sucks about the itching...I had a similar thing happen to me a few years back and it was awful. I would scratch my legs until I was bruised it was so bad. I have no idea what the cause was, but everything I use now is a "sensitive skin" formula (including detergent) and I haven't had a flare up in a long time. Hopefully you can nail down a trigger and avoid it at all costs!
Whoa, I feel so behind!....
DEE - So sorry you're out this time. But I hope you're having a good vacation!
LISA - Woohoo, you're charting again!! Lots and lots of baby dust to you for a september BFP - sounds like you're pulling out all the stops! ;)
ALYSSA - welcome!! Just to answer your questions, I agree with some of the PP's about alcohol/other pregnancy no-nos... I just stop once I think I have O'd. This is only our second cycle TTC... last cycle we did the ED thing, but then I O'd later than I expected and it became too much, so I think this time around we're doing EOD until I think O is *really* right around the corner, and then ED until I'm sure I've O'd. We use PreSeed, I take a B vitamin, and I will probably use robitussin again this cycle (to thin out the CM).
ERIN - Aww, that sucks about your friend seeing the pic at the Giants game. Awkwaaaaard! I'm glad your DH was able to smooth things over. Hey, glad our heat wave calmed down too... it was so out of control on saturday we went to the movies and saw two in a row just for the air conditioning. :op
JEN - UTIs are the WORST! So I'm glad you don't have one. Im hoping endo's not the issue either though.
RUBY - Wooie, sounds like the house is coming along? What color stripes did you end up doing in the bathroom?
JENNI - 1WW! I vote for you to POAS on friday. :o) But, do you have IC's? 'Cause if not, wait. Those full price suckers are expensive! I must've pee'd on at least $30 worth last time around which is like, dinner and a movie. :)
MARY - feel better soon! Gotta be back to 100% for GOFO fest!
CASSIE - I feel ya on being busy! Hope you're hanging in there!
AFM - this weekend I started having this crazy allergic reaction that got so bad yesterday I made an emergency appt with the doctor today. After being bounced around between the internist and dermatology, I was diagnosed with this skin sensitivity that causes horrendous itching and hives. Fortunately OTC stuff like benadryl and zyrtec can keep it under control when it flares up. Unfortunately it will likely come and go the rest of my life and there's no cure. :o( I'm going to play around with my diet some because common allergens (dairy, gluten, sugar) can be a factor. SIGH. The good news is it shouldn't interfere with TTC... the dr. said benadryl is ok in pregnancy, although I'm hoping that I can avoid taking anything (as long as the itching doesn't drive me insane, I can go sans medication altogether). I was feeling kinda discouraged over the weekend so I wasn't even checking CM or anything, but now I'm feeling back on board to go full speed ahead this cycle. :)
Hi Jenni - thanks for the welcome! I think I agree that maybe I haven't even O'd yet. I'm getting lots of EWCM today, and I'm pretty sure that's not residual semen from Saturday night (or at least I hope not!). So, we'll continue to GOFO and see what happens. DH is leaving tomorrow for two days, so hopefully I either O very soon, or wait until he gets back so we can get some more GOFOing in ;)
I'd say you could test before you go. It seems like a lot of tests are able to be used as early as 10 days after you O. After seeing your results, you can decide from there whether to drink on the weekend (I'd probably stick to having just a couple if you're not sure). It looks like you had great timing though, so sending lots of baby dust your way!
Thanks to Katie for my wonderful siggie!
Erin: I’m hoping it’s my spike.
I just wanted to drop by to say hello. I've been swamped with work lately, so not much time to check in here. I have been stalking all of your charts, but haven't had much time to keep up with the thread, and obviously haven't posted myself in quite a while:(.
Lisa and Dee - I'm really sorry to see that you're both back at the beginning of your cycle again. Boo to AF!
Erin - It looks like we'll be 2WW buddies!
Alyssa - Welcome! You must be excited to officially get started:).
AFM, if you're wondering what the heck's going on with my temps as compared with past cycles, I believe that's the B6 & B12 doing their thing. The first half of my cycle looks pretty whacky, temp wise, but I'm hoping to see nice high temps in the LP.
